Last week Nate asked if there could ever be comedian impersonators, or cover artists. A bit different, but when I saw Norm Macdonald once, he did a tight 8-10 minutes of Rodney Dangerfield material. It was such a genuine and respectful Rodney impression, and he absolutely crushed with it. It was really cool to see those jokes live, especially by a guy who really cares for the original material.

At the risk of coming off as too sensitive (I am actually too sensitive about many things but I'm trying to be better) it just kinda made my heart hurt a little with the whole making fun of Dusty not being invited to the John Crist party. I know we're all adults here, but it just brought back memories of childhood when you were left out of things either on purpose because they didn't like you, or because they just didn't think about you. Not sure which one is worse actually. Some things that I'm trying to teach my own children is to try to notice those who are being left out of things and make an effort to include them. Also when you are the one being left out, try not to be offended by the thoughtlessness of others. Dusty probably didn't care at all because like I said before, I'm way too sensitive sometimes. I love listening to other people's conversations in podcasts that really make me think about things. Helps me understand people in a better way. Even though this conversation was all in fun and probably wasn't expected to teach anything. Thanks guys! Love the podcast as always!

They confirmed, the group was invited and they passed the invite on to Dusty, however, Dusty seems to not remember and was waiting on a direct invite. It was at Zanies which Aaron's wife works at, they all frequent Zanies and run in John's circle. So the group invite made sense as it was for any comedian/friend of Johns, it seems.

I am a lifelong gym rat and I am in such good shape, not a lick overweight, that when I went into the ER with chest pains they said it was anxiety. I had to go back a couple of times before they confirmed I had been having heart attacks. I ended up with a stent. Cardiologist says the food pyramid is a horror. Dusty is right. Fruit and meat and vegetables. Fat doesn't make us fat, sugar and grains do. Cholesterol is made in the liver, not in the diet. Also salt is crucial. My pals with breast cancer were told the same. Focus consuming fat and protein, vegetables and ditch the sugar and bread. Cancer loves sugar and starves on fat. Our brains need fat. They're learning Alzheimer's is improved with fat and salt. I weigh what I did in high school. Im 61. And I have no unresolved heart disease :D PS your podcast replaced my true crime listens. I really appreciate it.

My in-laws are auctioneers and my husband goes to farm auctions all over the Midwest and South to buy farm machinery for their company, Armitage Equipment (Meeker, Oklahoma). They’ve been in business for 40 years and I’ve been in the family for 14 and I’ve learned A LOT about this industry and one thing I know for sure is how valuable a good auctioneer is. There’s one in particular who most people consider the best and he charges about $5,000 just to come and do one auction for you. But he can also get about 20% more money for each item because he’s really good at running people’s bids up. It might sound shady but hey, that’s capitalism for ya! We’re havin a good time!

Thank you for educating all Dusty 😂 Celtic sea salt and Redmond Real Salt are GREAT for you and help mineralize your water. Table salt is very harmful and causes high blood pressure. And bottled water in general is terrible for you because of nano plastics. Mountain Valley in glass is a great on the go option, but Reverse Osmosis water is best in a reusable bottle (not plastic) for everyday. And your body handles glucose (sugar) better when it has a fat with it! Your body will process it better and not have elevated levels due to the sugar. Love seeing others getting on the crunchy train 😂 And southern cooking at home fried in tallow or coconut oil is absolutely fine and healthy! Stay away from seed oils in general, cook in animal fats, and your body will feel fuller and you’ll crave less sugar and processed food. Keep it up Dusty!

I stumbled upon a delicious food drink combo one morning after making some eggo waffles and discovering i was out of soda. My next best option was sweet tea, and my mind was blown! I need to meet Dusty‘s friend Marshall. After high school and college I decided I needed a more adult sounding name. I’ve always gone by a nickname for my birth name. I decided to try my birth name and that felt weird so when I first moved after college I told them at work my name was Brian, which has absolutely no connection to my first name. People just assumed it must’ve been my middle name. After about a year of working there someone found out my middle name was Joseph and they were all confused where Brian came from but accepted it anyway. I worked there about another 2 years. As soon as I left I went back to the nickname I had always gone by. One day at Walmart with a friend someone kept yelling “Brian! brian!” And I finally turned and realized it was a former coworker yelling at me. My longtime friend had to know the story and I still get crap about it to this day, 20 years later.

I worked in real estate in the UK back in the 1990s. Auctioneers are duty-bound to achieve the best price for their vendor, and at a property auction the sale of a small retail premises reached a price where all other bidders were out. Asking for any further bids, the final bidder raised his paddle again, effectively bidding against himself. He bid three more times, taking the sale price up by £20,000 overall. The auctioneer wasn’t sure as to whether to keep taking the bids, or remind the bidder that he was literally the only guy now raising the price…..
