Last week Nate asked if there could ever be comedian impersonators, or cover artists. A bit different, but when I saw Norm Macdonald once, he did a tight 8-10 minutes of Rodney Dangerfield material. It was such a genuine and respectful Rodney impression, and he absolutely crushed with it. It was really cool to see those jokes live, especially by a guy who really cares for the original material.

This episode showed me what I love most about this podcast. It’s the part where it is basically a shortened version of Tuesday with Stories. I love hearing y’all’s stories from the road. The comments are always a hit too. At this point the actual topic is almost irrelevant. Love everything you guys do!

I’ve seen Aaron in Denver and I encourage people to go see him if he comes to your town. To me, he doesn’t come across, on the podcast, as the GREAT stand-up comedian that he is. I think he deserves a Netflix special, FOR SURE! I also saw Nate at Red Rocks and must say his Dad puts on a very funny show. I even went to search him on KZbin to try show my friends how funny and what a great magician he is. Thanks to Nate for “introducing “ me to these other great acts!

When bingo was telling nate the new colonoscopy age I was moving boxes from my garage and dropped them because of the way dusty says "well yeah, or you could do whatever you want, and not do that." Had to rewatch it immediately. All of you are too funny for my chore playlist. I don't want to miss any of the little things that make you all great.

This podcast is so random and I love it. I play this in my ear at work and the conversation is about Big Time Bates losing his keys, I zone out for a second to get some work done and all of a sudden we’ve moved on to sharks eating carrots.I have to constantly rewind to figure out how we got here.

To Dusty: my father-in-law owns a nursery business in McMinnville, TN called Daylily Nursery. You should go check it out some time for your garden! My father-in-law's name is Tim Hitchcock. He's a great guy and I think you guys would get along really well. My wife and I went to Nate's show Saturday night in Vegas and loved it. We hope to see Aaron, Dusty, and Breakfast Bates live as well! Thanks for the laughs, you guys help make the work day feel a little less mundane!

Whoever it was that commented about Dusty putting T's on the end of words has officially ruined my life. But I cracked the code, it's not all words. It's words that end in D...he ends them in T. And if a word ends in T already, he really enunciates iTTTT We're having a goot time!

Hello folks! I’ve been a fan since the very first episode. This episode had me rolling! Bates & Dusty having their OWN conversation while Nate & Aaron had their OWN conversation just had me frozen with excitement and laughter after. Then Nate saying “why is the base so big?” Just for Aaron to quip back, “that’s what makes it a pyramid.” I really love you guys. Thanks for all the laughs and I hope to have many more with you guys. ❤

New to your podcasts, but enjoying them so much, thank you all. I have listened to 3 now, and Aaron, the kindness and compassion obvious in your comments about Katherine, Princess of Wales in the podcast I listened to this morning was so genuinely kind and caring (it was about the photoshopping and her being absent from public life) and such a credit to you, and such a lovely reflection of your gentle nature. Thank you all for your sharing yourselves on the podcast, have a blessed Easter with your families :)

I'm a relatively new listener, and LOVING it, so I've listened to a handful of the oldest episodes and a few of the newest episodes, but I've missed a bunch in between. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but since Nate loves to tease Barndoor with "Hello folks," has anyone realized how often Nate ends a sentence with "that's fun." I'm seriously considering tracking it. Happy Belated Birthday! My husband’s birthday is also March 25, so that’s fun.

At the risk of coming off as too sensitive (I am actually too sensitive about many things but I'm trying to be better) it just kinda made my heart hurt a little with the whole making fun of Dusty not being invited to the John Crist party. I know we're all adults here, but it just brought back memories of childhood when you were left out of things either on purpose because they didn't like you, or because they just didn't think about you. Not sure which one is worse actually. Some things that I'm trying to teach my own children is to try to notice those who are being left out of things and make an effort to include them. Also when you are the one being left out, try not to be offended by the thoughtlessness of others. Dusty probably didn't care at all because like I said before, I'm way too sensitive sometimes. I love listening to other people's conversations in podcasts that really make me think about things. Helps me understand people in a better way. Even though this conversation was all in fun and probably wasn't expected to teach anything. Thanks guys! Love the podcast as always!

They confirmed, the group was invited and they passed the invite on to Dusty, however, Dusty seems to not remember and was waiting on a direct invite. It was at Zanies which Aaron's wife works at, they all frequent Zanies and run in John's circle. So the group invite made sense as it was for any comedian/friend of Johns, it seems.

Oh that's good to hear! It's kinda funny but I also listen to Tim Hawkins podcast and this most recent episode he talks about how he went to John Crist birthday party and got to talk to Nate while he was there. When I heard that I just thought, well my goodness, everyone but Dusty really was invited! 😂 Glad the misunderstanding got worked out though. I know it's not a big deal. I just like thinking about situations and learning the best way to react to them 😊

2:01:05 Nate says what I was thinking. Money and time is the reason my diet was mostly “don’t eat” list. Both parents working 8-9 hours a day, pick up kids from different schools, often there is something after school one of the kids needs to go to etc. I wish I could work 8 hours flat and have 1-2 hours to prepare and cook the dinner meal.

I am a lifelong gym rat and I am in such good shape, not a lick overweight, that when I went into the ER with chest pains they said it was anxiety. I had to go back a couple of times before they confirmed I had been having heart attacks. I ended up with a stent. Cardiologist says the food pyramid is a horror. Dusty is right. Fruit and meat and vegetables. Fat doesn't make us fat, sugar and grains do. Cholesterol is made in the liver, not in the diet. Also salt is crucial. My pals with breast cancer were told the same. Focus consuming fat and protein, vegetables and ditch the sugar and bread. Cancer loves sugar and starves on fat. Our brains need fat. They're learning Alzheimer's is improved with fat and salt. I weigh what I did in high school. Im 61. And I have no unresolved heart disease :D PS your podcast replaced my true crime listens. I really appreciate it.

My in-laws are auctioneers and my husband goes to farm auctions all over the Midwest and South to buy farm machinery for their company, Armitage Equipment (Meeker, Oklahoma). They’ve been in business for 40 years and I’ve been in the family for 14 and I’ve learned A LOT about this industry and one thing I know for sure is how valuable a good auctioneer is. There’s one in particular who most people consider the best and he charges about $5,000 just to come and do one auction for you. But he can also get about 20% more money for each item because he’s really good at running people’s bids up. It might sound shady but hey, that’s capitalism for ya! We’re havin a good time!

Dusty mentioned the amounts of sodas he would drink when he was younger. When he referenced “Coke” was he saying he drank Coke specifically, or is that his word for any soda? I grew up calling every soda “Coke.” In my house, if someone offered you a Coke, they could be talking about anything from Mr. Pibb to 7Up. I’m curious what you all called it growing up. Thank you for educating all Dusty 😂 Celtic sea salt and Redmond Real Salt are GREAT for you and help mineralize your water. Table salt is very harmful and causes high blood pressure. And bottled water in general is terrible for you because of nano plastics. Mountain Valley in glass is a great on the go option, but Reverse Osmosis water is best in a reusable bottle (not plastic) for everyday. And your body handles glucose (sugar) better when it has a fat with it! Your body will process it better and not have elevated levels due to the sugar. Love seeing others getting on the crunchy train 😂 And southern cooking at home fried in tallow or coconut oil is absolutely fine and healthy! Stay away from seed oils in general, cook in animal fats, and your body will feel fuller and you’ll crave less sugar and processed food. Keep it up Dusty!

I get so much crap from everyone for drinking soda with breakfast! When you said that your second choice would be sweet tea, it reminded me of something amazing I discovered that you guys should try! I stumbled upon a delicious food drink combo one morning after making some eggo waffles and discovering i was out of soda. My next best option was sweet tea, and my mind was blown! I kid you not, you have to try it! Has to be eggo waffles and you have to put butter and maple syrup on them. Then drink sweet tea after every few bites or so! I swear the flavors linger together in your mouth in the best way! They were meant for each other like peanut butter and jelly! Eggo waffles and sweet tea!

I need to meet Dusty‘s friend Marshall. After high school and college I decided I needed a more adult sounding name. I’ve always gone by a nickname for my birth name. I decided to try my birth name and that felt weird so when I first moved after college I told them at work my name was Brian, which has absolutely no connection to my first name. People just assumed it must’ve been my middle name. After about a year of working there someone found out my middle name was Joseph and they were all confused where Brian came from but accepted it anyway. I worked there about another 2 years. As soon as I left I went back to the nickname I had always gone by. One day at Walmart with a friend someone kept yelling “Brian! brian!” And I finally turned and realized it was a former coworker yelling at me. My longtime friend had to know the story and I still get crap about it to this day, 20 years later.

I was in Austin for work. Went to a movie at the mall after dinner. When I came out, had a flat tire. I limped the car over to a 24 hour convenience store to call Avis and wait. It was around 10 pm. Did talk to a person but had to call like 5 or 6 times for updates. Just before midnight the guy told me his shift was almost over and I’m still stuck. Finally, they decided to tow me another car from the airport rather than changing the tire. They took my small Saturn and brought me a Chevy Impala. Got back to my hotel around 3 am. 😮

Shout out to my brother in law, Drew Stutts, head coach of the Freed-Hardeman Lions Men’s Basketball team who just won the NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in Kansas City! We visited Scheels for the first time that morning and was crowned champions that night! What a day! (FYI we were down 67-61 with 47 seconds left and made an unbelievable come back to win 71-67)

I worked in real estate in the UK back in the 1990s. Auctioneers are duty-bound to achieve the best price for their vendor, and at a property auction the sale of a small retail premises reached a price where all other bidders were out. Asking for any further bids, the final bidder raised his paddle again, effectively bidding against himself. He bid three more times, taking the sale price up by £20,000 overall. The auctioneer wasn’t sure as to whether to keep taking the bids, or remind the bidder that he was literally the only guy now raising the price…..

Dusty I noticed your “luv ya blue” Houston oilers shirt right away. I had one my senior year of high school. Thanks for bringing back some fun memories! Brian what would you think about a show regarding “tee shirt memories”. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Love you guys. I look forward to watching all of you on KZbin on Wednesday mornings. Blessings and peace friends. 😊

I honestly think that Dusty feelings were hurt bc he wasn't invited to the roast. He seemed a little bummed the whole show. They missed a great addition to the roast. Their loss!

Hello folks! and most likely Airport Dusty! I will say I have a bone to pick with you after you commented “That’s my favorite line” when Aaron was talking about yelling at customer service. Not sure I’ll be able to yell “I know it has nothing to do with you” without laughing for the rest of my life. Thanks a lot
