I stopped learning Spanish years ago because I never really had a clear goal for doing it, but now I decided to re-learn everything from the beginning so that I can speak to the hearts of la familia de mi novio y sus amigos in the near future! ❤Thanks for this video, Nate!

Nate these blog type of videos are perfectly fine with all of us, you do amazing! I watch a lot of "get ready with me" and "asmr" videos and we all just enjoy hearing about an influencers life, so this type of content is totally desired! So yeah, keep it up! Especially since you are ALSO offering a conversation about language acquisition &/or Spanish, I feel like you'll retain a lot of viewers. Maybe you can do "Day in the Life" and you can do partial in spanish or heck do even "making my Spanish speaking girlfriend speak English for 24hrs". So much fun!

Hola Nate! No sea consciente de ti mismo sobre tu videos. Los disfruto mucho. He estado aprender por casi un año. Uso tu video me ayuda poder oír español. Desafortunadamente tenga que aprenderlo solo. No tengo mucho plata pero aprendo a través de algunos de tu video. Lo siento por mi malo español y sigue con el bueno trabajo.

All good advice. Don’t underestimate your abilities on social media. You are always upbeat and fun to watch. I like the short lessons on specific topics and the conversations with native speakers. I have been studying for years. I do something every day whether it be reading, listening or speaking. Here in S Cal as you know there are lots of hispanohablantes. I also speak weekly with a man in Spain. I completed my AA in Spanish at local community college. Sometimes I do grammar workbooks the way some people do crossword puzzles. Keep up the good work!

Hey Nate! It was your videos that inspired my learning Spanish a few years ago. I saw how well you spoke and decided "I am going to learn Spanish". Been watching your videos ever since. It took a lot of work but I have learned so much and am still always learning. It has changed my life in so many ways I could have never imagined. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I still love watching your videos, it's crazy to think how much your videos influenced me to do something that would completely transform my life lol. Muchísimas gracias amigo! Espero que podamos conocernos un día. Será super padre :)

I answered the cleaning lady at my work in Spanish and from then on our interactions became all in Spanish. I took 4 years in high school and a couple in college, and my mom spoke Castillian but we always spoke English in our house. So, I haven't used it much in years but I always make it a habit to speak with the cleaning lady everyday to practice. It is cool to communicate and I can even make her laugh, and not because I can't speak well but because she can understand what I'm trying to say. So yeah, speaking every day helps a lot. I now think and listen better in Spanish and it makes it easier to reply. I remember taking a trip to Spain by myself and all I spoke for two weeks was Spanish. I picked it up very well because I had to, then over the years I lost it. This is my way of trying to get it back. Use it or lose it.

Learning another language opens you up to a lot more different life experiences. Especially Spanish because we are neighbors with Mexico and although Mexico is similar in some ways to USA it’s also different and they do things differently with the same result. It’s cool to experience that.

I was told about 25 years ago when I was 13, "learn Spanish because a lot of Spanish soeakers in the U.S. don’t speak English." This would be amazing motivation now but at the time created a lot of resentment toward the language with it being "forced" in a way. I decided to start learning it because I don't want resentment toward a language. There is indeed a lot I'm gaining, even early on! Thank you for your channel.
