I have this battery. I am powering a Panasonic S5ii and a 12V ultra bright 2200nit monitor. You can actually power the camera with the USB-C and the monitor with the USB-A. The USB-C can power anything from 9V to 20V and the USB-A anything up to 12V.

Hmm... I need to get me like 5 of these at that price. Not just for gear, but when the power goes out and you need to charge stuff or even run some small Pocket LEDs for light.

Thanks for your video. I have two smallrig VB99 and VB155, and two neewer PS099E. It can be seen that neewer is using the price war strategy of "self-loss" to attack smallrig. After a period of use, I will choose smallrig for my next purchase, although the price of neewer battery is more exciting. However, the texture and battery life of smallrig make people feel more at ease and reliable. neewer always gives me the feeling of a cheap material, fearing that it will have some accidents due to overheating or falling.😂

Good point! Smallrig also has a new pro version that looks like a solid solution too!
@kevinmcaleese55328 ай бұрын
Yep, the pro version looks very sturdy. I'm planning on getting one to check it out. It's a bit pricey right now though, I'm waiting for the smallrig to go on sale.@@NatesFilmTutorials

I have both. I prefer the Small Rig. SmallRig also makes a 212Wh battery. It didn't exist at the time this video was released.
@michaelocunningham6 ай бұрын
Any reason why you prefer the smallrig?
@DSFking6 ай бұрын
@@michaelocunningham It's a little smaller, a little lighter. The screen is flush whereas the Neewer screen protrudes a bit. The Neewer always has its super detailed screen on. Smallrigs only turns super detailed when it's powering something. So when you charge the Neewer you've got to get close to see the tiny percentage font. The Smallrig percentage takes up the whole screen, you can see it from MUCH further away. Smallrigs to me had slightly better build quality. And the ports are laid put slightly more conveniently. Basically Neweer tried to copy it and all the changes they made were slight dis-improvements.

So say I wanna power my LUMIX S5 and atomos ninja V. Which voltage would I need for a full day?
@NatesFilmTutorials7 ай бұрын
To power a Lumix S5 and an Atomos Ninja with a V-mount battery all day, you'd typically need a battery with a voltage output of around 14.4 volts. However voltage and wattage are different things. I would pick up 2 99wh batteries which should be more than plenty for a full day shoot. I was able to power my a7siii, monitor, wireless transmitter and focus, for a good part of my short film shoot

Building my first rig out, so bare with this newbie. Does the difference in size effect what size v mount battery plate I should buy?
@NatesFilmTutorials4 ай бұрын
I would say that you could get a smaller plate to keep the overall package of bit smaller. Also, because the battery already has plenty of ports, you could get a normal adapter rather than an actual plate with electronics if you want to save money.

Hey bud, wanted to ask you if you can power the camera through neewer V mount battery when the camera is turned on. When I turned on the battery and connect it with camera when its off, it draws power for a bit but then shut off in about a minute. Also, everytime you turn the camera on, I have to always take the usb-c out and reconnect it to have camera start drawing the power. Am I doing something wrong here?
