The Smell …. I know exactly what you mean. I was a Nurse for 55+ years. As a Nursing Student, I took a sputum culture from a patient who had lung cancer. The stench was so foul, that 55+ years later I can still smell it. Have often said if we could bottle that stench, and have folks smell that before they started smoking …. NO ONE WOULD SMOKE.

I often tell people, you don't forget the smell of something dead and decaying. It's a very unique smell and our brains are hardwired by evolution to be REPULSED by it. They think I'm being dramatic or edgy, but like... I have seen a 60 year old man reflexively vomit from the smell, and that was just a mouse corpse. It STINKS, and for good reason; our fragile meat bodies don't want to get sick from the bacteria and parasites that start to colonize a decaying body.
@AdamLaMore2 ай бұрын
It's a deeper necrosis of the bone, where the tip of the cow's foot is rotting away. I think a better comparison in humans would be where something like poor medical care or uncontrolled diabetes can cause a foot injury to get infected to the point of necrosis or amputation. I've seen another video where the hoof trimmer actually had a piece of bone fall out of the foot while he was trimming.

The Dr. finally made a home visit after her brother spoke of an horrendous smell coming from her. Turns out she had breast cancer which had progressed to a fulminating breast carcinoma. She was in a side room and as soon as her room door was open the smell leeched out. I would wear at least two face masks to change her dressings. Oh and the smell in a Burns Unit is like burnt bacon.
