Austin I'd love to hear more about how you prepare for verite style doc. You mentioned in the last video having a series of scenes each with its own in and out. How do you plan it as a whole? What discussions with the key characters? When do you decide on using a narrator? (PS I mainly make corporate videos and would like to incorporate more showing rather than explaining via interviews, but it can be a hard sell)

when working in 4K and delivering in 4K what specs do you need on your computer and hard drives?
@austinmeyerfilms9 сағат бұрын
I am not sure of the exact specs. But I edit footage off the Crucial X9 Pro SSD (amzn.to/4aeqdnf). On my MacBook Pro with the Apple M2 Max chip, I can cut through 4K footage pretty seamlessly. But when I edit on my 2020 iMac I make proxy files of all the videos and edit using those!

I‘m wondering that you can connect the Cos11 directly to the sony. Years ago i had the same, but I needed a cable adapter cause the wiring from sony was different. Did it changed?
@austinmeyerfilms14 сағат бұрын
You just need to make sure that you get the Cos11 that says it is specifically for Sony transmitters. They make different mics for different transmitters. See here for the Sony version for example: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/671663-REG/Sanken_COS_11D_UWP_BK_COS_11D_Miniature_Omnidirectional_Lavalier.html

Stop putting Nat Geo in everything man. It’s pathetic and painful. You are nobody in Natgeo so it’s time to move on for another click bait
