Beneath the Karakoram Mountains-some of the world’s tallest-winds the Hunza Valley of Pakistan, lined with fields and orchards. Once, Hunza was ruled by a prince, or Mir, first from the fort Altit, founded 1,000 years ago, and later, from the nearby Baltit Fort, also centuries old. In disrepair by the late 20th century, both forts have undergone major restoration work. Although historic, Hunza Valley is also socially forward-thinking, with high literacy in general, and a specific focus on education for girls. Women have also recently begun to practice carpentry, traditionally a male-dominated trade. One role for the new generation of carpenters has been repairs of the woodwork-rich historic sites.

Sometimes it is a good thing some places are not so publicized, the people there can live in peace out of the reach of prying eyes. However, a mere glimpse like this does spark intrigue.

This place in Pakistan but I don't know why western media doesn't show the real image of Pakistan
@alfsen_3426
@alfsen_3426 2 жыл бұрын
This happens to so many countries. For example what do you know about Greece? Do you know it's greatest secret of having 80% mountains? and thus it's many gorgeous mountainous regions all around and the mainland? No. So that is simply a metaphor for so much you don't know. You act as if we do Pakistan injustice on purpose, but in reality many of us are uneducated simpletons who never look beyond our 3 year old child's knowledge. Because really, YOU can know about Pakistan's or Greece's or any countries beauties IF you would have wanted. I by the way have done this already from when I was 4 years old. I always was very fascinated of the world. It's called curiosity. That is what is failing among many people. Don't make things just about western media this and that. Greece and other countries are IN the west and not only the west but the entire world doesn't know how gorgeous it really is. It is ranked always in the top 10, top 5, top 3 countries in the world in countless of rankings, and yet the things they show about Greece is only 1% of the country missing out it's 80% mountains. So I understand your confusion why a gorgeous region like Northern Pakistan is not mentioned either. It's for the same reasons. And like Greece and Pakistan, believe me that there are many other countries with other own unique immense beauties.

Couldn't`t help but notice the young girls clothing were very loose on their upper bodies, especially around their arms. This is a very dangerous practice when working around machinery. Muhammad Ahsan Rashid. Thank you Dear Heart, for adding this information since it does indicate there is an awareness of dressing for the job in protective wear and it is hoped they will create uniforms for their duties there. Let's hope they do something that will substitute for their hijabs and yet provide the religious observances they choose to observe. And I envy you having gone there and seen that beautiful place. It's a common feature for water bodies of alpine/glacial in origin because of the rock flour (finely ground rock) that they collect while flowing down, the flour suspended in the water gives the appearance of the turquoise colour.

tourism should be given utmost priority by Pakistan government. Better roads, Footpaths, facilities such as service stations with all amenities of international standards including food chains , recovery services, free Internet maps tour guide on peaks, lakes, food places, monuments, religious heritage sites of all religions, beaches and drinks should be made available. Pakistan doesn’t need to do anything else to generate revenue. Tourism alone can revive economy and provide all needs of Pakistan’s people and government
