I remember watching documentaries like this when i was a young kid thinking how mad these guys were for following gorillas through the jungle watching them have fights & allsorts. I'm watching this now 25+ years later thinking exactly the same!

I agree. Majestic, even. They have evolved perfectly for their niche in the jungle. While not actually predators, they avoid conflict or trouble with others by their strength and size.

Not so sure that people realize that these video clips and this narration can easily be unrelated and may be nothing more than an creative edit which is performed later in the studio after much discussion occurs regarding the story they need to tell for the documentary. We see no evidence of the relation between what we are seeing in the bush and what we are hearing from the narrator.
@logandabrute
@logandabrute 2 ай бұрын
yeah, planned afterward in the studio, even though one of the people literally there watching it happen is describing exactly what the narrator is also saying

Alot of them know the men who follow them and run the tours, they know they aren't a threat. A silver back gorilla won't attack humans unless they feel their family is in danger. If he was angry at the humans he would do a mock charge first to warn them, the guides are educated enough with gorilla language to know when it's time for them to leave and how to show submissive body language
