Their heaviest influence are the GOATs of melodic hardcore Misery Signals, which you can hear throughout their discography and you can hear again in this track. So good🔥

I came to comment this same thing. The guitar work especially reminds me of old Misery Signals.

It's true, but I can't really get into M.S. I don't know why. I just don't like them.

I absolutely cannot get enough of that pop-punk style guitar on the chorus. It just feels so happy and I love it

It has more of a dark or sad twist, if you notice in the last run the guitars do where they go downward

Totally agree with what you guys said. SUCH an underrated band - easily my favourite song of last year. Saw them live a few weeks ago and just blew me away but very few in the crowd singing along sadly. Chorus sounds a little like Aftermath by Ghost Inside - maybe what you guys were thinking of?

I just love that the OG guitarists are back, and now that they have that structure they have been building up over the years. Chefs kiss.

Lucky! Counterparts is a band that has only gotten better and better with each release. Prophets was meh but it was the first. But everything after that is spectacular!

You will dive deep and never regret it. Hands down one of my top ten bands of all time any genre. Their shit has got me through a lot of different highs and lows in my life. I’m excited for you to get in to more Counterparts. Watch the audiotree recording of their set too. Such a stellar performance.

They are amazing - you guys too. I hardly talk bout music with other people cause I may have always had great friends but they all (almost) have a poor interest in music, but I often relate with your opinions and observations! In this case I felt like Johnny could read my mind: those musicians are so underrated, they are insanely talented. The drummer is sick and the guitarist gave the song a different atmosphere that both complete and highlight its heaviness. Thank you guys for another great reaction!

Love the channel guys and your reactions are always awesome, consistently throwing up different genres and styles to review as well. Any chance you guys take recommendations? Would love to hear your thoughts on some stuff from Swedish metal band "Demotional", take a look at the tracks Young Wolves or Scandinavian Aftermath
