I saw Enter Shikari in 2011 in the US, Architects played right before them. It was a tiny venue, and the guitar players for ES were hanging upside down from the rafters by their legs while playing at one point. The bassist grabbed my phone out of my hand while recording in the front row and put it in his mouth and kept playing. I will never forget that show in my whole life

Saw them I think was 2007 the Charlotte in Leicester UK. The venue was the size of a portaloo but still one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to.

Pendulum is one of those bands that ALWAYS pulls huge crowds and has a massive live show / performance. Hope they will FINALLY return to germany next year.
@ensco72 жыл бұрын
You didn't even know Pendulum were Australian? Lads, you absolutely have to check out more of their stuff, I recommend their collab with In Flames "Self Vs Self" if you haven't heard that one already. Another song that is less metal and more so an alternative-rock-journey is The Tempest, one of my favourite Pendulum songs. Fun facts: The band was found in Perth in 2002 but moved to the DnB centre that is UK one year later, then recruited one British and one American member in the following years. Their first album was purely DnB, however their later stuff often had rock and even some metal influences. If we don't count Enter Shikari's first record, then Pendulum's the heavier band in my opinion.

I know, abit of a face palm moment. I thought Johnny was bragging or being sarcastic for a second. Pendulum is a very famous aussie band. I was very into "In Flames" during my teen years. When i realised they did a collab with what happened to be my favourite drum and bass band at the time i was stoked. Self vs Self is a head banger for sure.
@Barrsie2 жыл бұрын
The bottom end for Self vs Self slams. They were Aussie to begin with, but I'd say they've become more of a UK based band.

Okay now thats a review that i never saw coming 😄 but im stoked!!! Metal and drum n bass have the same special place in my heart. I listen both on daily basis. Pendulum is what made me discover DnB in New Zealand a few years ago (im from europe) went to a random Festival and they were playing. I been addicted to drum n bass ever since that night. The energy is the same that metal gives you and the family's feeling is the same. There is loads of metal & dnb collabs actually. It goes so well together. I can't believe you didn't know they were Australian 😆 you have to check out self vs self . Another metal & dnb banger from pendulum
@ensco72 жыл бұрын
Same, listening to more and more DnB is probably what led to me getting into Metal. It goes as far back as 2013 with DnB tracks on NCS. Got into Rock and some light Metal in 2016, then in 2020 had the urge for morge energy and listened to mainly DnB/X Metal with Pendulum, The Qemists, Zardonic, Muzz and Celldweller that summer, got into A7X that winter, The Prodigy in spring and into Spiritbox the next fall, now this weekend I was even hyped for the new Lorna Shore album..
