I agreed until I saw the live performance where she lip syncs and acts like she’s playing guitar. Straight garbage, she could’ve atleast learned how to play basic guitar and sing without a loud ass backing track live.
@giure44473 жыл бұрын
@@soldierofwar3314 you're talking about Hayley, do you?
@soldierofwar33143 жыл бұрын
@@giure4447 I’m talking about willow, go watch her live performance of the song. She’s lip syncing the whole time and can’t even play the correct cords on the guitar for the 8 seconds she attempts to play guitar lol. To answer your question i play bass guitar, that’s why I’m criticizing so much. It just upsets me that all these famous people want to “look cool” by playing guitar yet don’t want to put the work in to learn.

I think i know what you guys mean. I honestly think her live vocals on Transparent Soul" on Jimmy Fallon were waaaaay better than the recorded album. They flowed more organically, rhythmically. But on the recorded version, the, "transparent soooooul, I can see right through just so you know-oooh." The phrasing felt a little awkward and doesn't have the same flow as her live does. I guess that's a good problem for a vocalist to have though. Always good to be better live than in the studio.
@matthewbarrett98293 жыл бұрын
The two songs that this reminds me of are Transplants - "Diamond and Guns" (which has Travis Barker as well) and Metric - "Gold Guns Girls". Its like these two songs merged and we got transparent soul. Would love to hear what others think.

I've been listening to her for a min she normally does a like softer sound or alt-indie thing so this one is a bit different. It's definitely a fact that African Americans created what was the original roots of rock and roll, but for some reason, I still remember being pretty thoroughly bullied as a teenager by my African American peers in school (sometimes even physically) because I liked rock music and dressed "weird" (a mixture of goth, emo, and scene), and they considered that to make me a loser and a weirdo.😅 I assume it was just because teenagers are awful in general, and they probably weren't aware at the time that rock music originally came from their own people, and anything that wasn't mainstream pop or rap was considered weird by the majority of the people in my area. So I don't hold it against them, but I do wonder why exactly it happened, and wonder if it's still like this? Or is rock music more accepted now by your black peers at school? I'm genuinely curious, since I graduated in like 2011 and obviously times were very different. I also kind of suspect there's still some lingering stigma around rock music that came from karens blaming rock music for school shootings like Columbine.
