Having seen Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweets in Louisville, KY a few years back Nathaniel attempted to speak out about the children caught up in school shootings that are affecting our nation, but stumbled over his words and moved on to the next song. When I hear this song think to what he was trying to say. When I hear this song I hear a man of deep emotion feeling helpless he can't stop what needs to end. I hear a man confused why more isn't being done by all of us who share the pain against madness but do nothing. I hear a man torn inside that all he can do is raise his voice.
