Pretty sad to see that the monotype series is almost over Nathan, these were some amazing videos! For suggestions for the last few monotype runs, I would vote for Mono Grass, BIRD UP Rain (seriously, mono flying rain is surprisingly decent), and a dual-type (i.e. all Pokemon share the same dual type such as a Water/Rock team, a Normal/Flying team, or a Rock/Ground team)

Smack Down is busted in PMD because of the linked move mechanic: You can essentially automatically use both Smack Down and a subsequent Ground move on the same turn, every time. It’s dope on a partner Cubone, especially because four of the main game bosses are Flying-types, three of them are weak to Ground once they’re grounded, and the fourth is 4x weak to Rock.

If you’re planning on doing more AAA, I’d love to see your take on a successful Sun offense. I tried building when I saw your cool rain offense, wanted to do something different. There’s so many broken fire offense mons, like chlorophyll specs eruption Heatran, desolate land volcorona, magic guard mind blown blacephalon, etc. I just struggled with the more defensive checks and core, so I’d love to see how you build for it :)

@@pulkitjain2361 Not only that, but I loved his defensive Rhyperior. That was capital H Heat! But there don’t seem to be many sun related abilities that lend to be defensive. Many sun abilities are extremely offensive: solar power as an example.

This is a year late but there’s more defensive rain / water abilities than defensive sun / fire abilities. Water absorb heals you, but flash fire buffs your moves. Solar power increases your attack but Hydration removes status.

In terms of an AAA team/concept: I was trying to get a Scarf merciless Overheat team to work along with corrosion Toxapex and T-Spikes. I couldn't really get it to work, but maybe you could do better/ I thought about using Mew who can learn both Overheat and Leaf storm in stead as well as just generally having more coverage. I don't know. Up to you if you think it's interesting.
