Grassy terrian only affects earthquake magnitude and bulldoze. Thats why rillaboom can run high horse power as coverage

First things first: this format looks fun asf. Now, Finch's way of team building is better, creating the pokemon first and then building the team. Yes the pokemon building choices should be irreversible and done blind, but chosing what moves to use and the items is better to do when u have the entire team created. So u can actually build a functional team. Makes the format more fun.

Something very similar already exists, it's called chimera, where 6 pokemon combine their qualities depending on the order you lock them in. The main difference is that it's a 1v1 format

I liked the blind build style, but if you generated all 3 mons first, i think it could lead to some more interesting teams with that extra forethought. also victreebell learns swords dance too, would've been a crazy sleep setup sucker punch sweep

This is a very cool concept for a game mode. I think an interesting take would be to show all 3 before deciding them, make it so there are a little less fake mons while tuning down the high and low roll potential, but thats me aiming for a bit more balance in this randomfest lol

I remember seeing Chimera content working similar. Another metagame that showdown offers. Couldn't you use that with this challenge? The moves obviously pose more of a problem, but it's pretty close.

There was an OM called Chimera 1v1 that sorta had this concept. I think the dragonheaven server used to have a randomized version of it. It was a blast

I think it could make sense to name the Pokémon based on their movepool/ability mons. Give the other player more chance to make big plays in the battle as opposed to getting cheesed(like noivern t1)
