The MGL would definitely be handy if fishing that with a 1/8th oz weight.

I like to put a bobber stop under the weight as well so I can make it a Carolina Rig

Thanx Nathan. Rough day but have to admire your dedication. I would have put that worm down sooner. I know you like the Zoom speed worm but what about other like baits. I throw a swim senko when the speed worm is off.

I'm in Florida. I throw the Gambler Burner worm and the Bitter's "Vibe" in addition to the Zoom. Love fishing these at or just below the surface when I can. Our weather has been less than ideal here lately, and I have a feeling that was what Nathan was dealing with in this video. Good luck out there!

Three things happen when I watch your videos Nathan #1 I learn something new #2 What I lean makes me a better more successful fisherman #3 I end up getting yet ANOTHER delivery from Tackle Warehouse Thanks for making me and my two sons much more successful fisherman Thanks to your recommendations on soft plastics having worked so well for myself and my sons especially flukes and SB's I have two 18qt Hefty totes each filled with flukes, SB's, rubber worms, Senkos, and trailers for my chatterbaits Willowchatters and spinnerbaits and another 18qt tote filled with assorted worm hooks, bobber stops, soft plastic application specifica lead and tungsten weights all the specialized gear for fishing soft plastics and yes it all works. Thanks for everything Nathan its made myself and my sons not just much more successful fisherman it did so very rapidly I have to recommend you try an old fashioned offset worm hook I was having hook up issues using EWG hooks on both worms and Flukes and using a standard offset worm hook with a longer shank vs an EWG solved my problem My sons and I are absolutely murdering the bass using T-Rigged flukes as the weeds by me make using anything but weedless luers a waist of a cast

I prefer Gambler swimming worm. A bit thicker and easier to cast and control while swimming through cover. Just a feel thing.

They make a zoom magnum speed worm too same size as the gambler. I like em both

I wish I could send pictures. I make a 1/4 ounce football jig head and take the zoom speed worm and cut the worm off to where it’s about 2-3” long then cut the center of the paddle out to make it look like crawdad claws and tip it with orange

Great technique during the spawn. Stop and go retrieve wks well. Chk out Bill Lowen's video on this technique. It's a good one...

If i cut a Speed Worm in to two parts, i have the perfect grub, and the other half can be used with a hitchhiker tail spinner as a trailer on a swim jig.

Nate love the videos but you have to try a good old off set worm hook instead of the wide gap style , Todd Castledine has a great video out on this subject, WAY BETTER HOOKUPS when swimming a worm ,you really need to give it a try 😢😢

I’ve never had much luck with it!

A 3/16 ounce weight on a MH fast rod? Seems a bit light to load that rod tip enough to cast with accuracy, no?

It’s surprisingly accurate with the weight of the worm and hook added

Why flourocarbon?
@nathanquincefishing71224 ай бұрын
It sinks so you get a better connection to the bait
@rickvann34894 ай бұрын
@nathanquincefishing7122 maybe... l am in the opinion that flourocarbon is much overrated, but may have a place like sink rate.

The speed worm on the fall is probably the most cost effective lure there is. The amount of action you get is just so good 🤌
