I bought a pair of cougar paws 13-15 years ago, walking roofs is no joke, the angle can be hard on ankles and constaly up and down, I do not rember what I paid, at the time it seemed reasonable for what I was getting, the replacement pads I thought could of been cheaper, I mainly did residential, aspahalt shingles tear through the padding so fast, they didn't even make it through a 30 sq. Roof before the pad was gone and it was tearing Into foam that was structural to the boot, however my biggest complaint is how uncomfortable they were. I was 17 or 18 at the time in amazing shape, and within a few hours of wearing them my feet and ankles hurt to the point I couldn't stand being on my feet, save your money and just use old sneakers and couch cushions foam
@mlwadester875 жыл бұрын
Kyle, I'm an adjuster and have a number of coworkers that have bought and use Cougar Paws. They use their Paws for steep stuff only and then wear their Keens or Merrils on stuff that isnt steep. Extends the life of the pads and the boots.

Congratulations on the award you deserve it. I am looking at the bell auger thinking that shaft my be short as we get into 4 - 5 foot hole depths or do they have extensions? Personally I dont like to use extensions just one more hinge point. I think the concept is awesome. His marker should be up to the top for better viewing from inside your cab loader, just my opinion. Those automatic breaks have been around fro a long time. Though back when i was programing them they didn't have the touch display or a graphical representation of each step. I bought 3 pairs of cougar paws metal walkers a few months ago and the didn’t last 3 days. The magnets pulled out of the bottom that had been held in by duct tape. We put them on when we got on the roof and took them off when we got off. I was not very impressed. Not worth the price tag. Now there shingle boots are a different story we love those.

Your awards plaque was given to the homeowner that you built the house for? I hope they display it with pride. I would have scanned it, given them a nicely printed copy, and selfishly kept the original. In a previous video I've just watched, you had a stack of Cougar Paws boots in your equipment trailer. You're pleased with their performance?

“...not legal in California.” This is why I love this channel. Great work
@johnmakbuilds5 жыл бұрын
Great Channel BUT...... So I have been watching some of your videos lately to try and teach some of the new guys some tricks on buildings we don't necessarily specialize in since we re focused on custom Modular Home Construction. Lately many clients have been purchasing second homes and looking for large barns, garages for car collections or workshops on the properties. The only thing I have to say that disappointed me was the reference from Chase as to being the "head janitor" I brushed it off as a young guy a little pressured by the camera and though I didn't it wouldn't expect you to defend the "janitor" role, I was surprised that you went with it. At the end of the day we are also blue collar laborers. We may have been fortunate enough to excel our business where we don't have to personally be so labor intensive yet we shouldn't forget where we started and that we would not be able to be anywhere without others, especially janitors. That show wouldn't be what it is if there wasn't a janitorial staff preparing it to what it is. I was never a janitor, I was a cleaning guy who hoped to one day be a janitor with a stable job, benefits and even join the union. I wouldn't say I surpassed that, I just went a different route. I want to add that I'm sure you meant no disrespect. You seem like a successful straight shooter, honest business man who treats people with respect. Your channel is great. I only subscribed to 2 maybe 3 channels at the most with yours being one of them. I hope you get a few minutes to read this and if you agree with me, maybe a mention in your next video about janitors and the importance of any job and working man does. In this world of social media, one mistake can snowball into nonsense. I hope this didn't come off rude in anyway. I felt that if I didn't mention it, others were thinking it and it could hurt your brand overall. I apologize for any misspellings. Keep up the Great Work!
