What a joy to watch and hear! I am one who cannot wait to see the sunrise, to begin a new day, full of adventure and experiences. My photography unlike Chris's more what and where i live. Now retired but making images every day. Those who wrote "cliche" how sad.. You have never lived, never thought, never joyed with others.. Thank you Chris Rainier.

Realized sitting here in the pandemic that these cultures are better off for our current circumstances. I hope we find a balance between technology and, for lack of a better word, a more tribally, anthropologically, wholesome way of living. Be well all

A fascinating lecture. I was VERY fascianted by the Polynesian body art, it was visually stunning. This lecture is great. That the lecturer was humbled by his experiences and the commonality of the human experience in family is a great message to portray.

I was just scanning the video and heard: "The yakuza, the initiation, you chop your own finger". You're wrong mister Rainier - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yubitsume.

I've linked Wikipedia as a convenient reference for English speakers/minds. If you have a critical thinking, it can often be used as a valid source of information. Spending time with does not mean understanding. What was said might have only been a shortcut but the information given in the video appears incomplete at best... Two more interseting websites: takabeya.com/?page_id=737 - yakuzanews.jp/blog-entry-6106.html

Chris did not participate! I am a South African, who would have joined the Boer forces against Britain. We must not carry old hatreds nor bigotry! Bigotry a horrible thinking. We are all the same!
