I don't quilt but I do like the color wheel and you did a really good job explaining it!

What a fabulous explanation of the workings of a colour wheel. I have one, but have only ever used it in the most rudimentary fashion. Just with this relatively short tutorial I already have a much greater understanding of how to read it and use it more effectivly.

I am making bowl cozies with a lot (well, not a lot for someone who really knows how to sew) of scrap fabric pieces, but I am poor at knowing what matches what. I would love to know what you think of Dressing Your Truth by Carol Tuttle. I've learned some from her and am quite interested in your explanation of colors. Thank you!

Thanks for this explanation. It is impossible to go into extensive detail in a 9 minute video and everyone has their own interpretations of color as you said. But you provide extra information beyond what is written on this color wheel which helps me have a better understanding of how to 'read' it. Thank you.

I always enjoy her short but informative explanations. 👍

yes, some people complained about the usage of the wheel that was not explained .... but I didn't think that far because I didn't need that info here, maybe part 2.

My Mom gave me the 50 state flowers embroidered on squares of yellow fabric. Could you tell me what colors of fabric would compliment the yellow for making a quilt? The flowers are all very colorful.

Great info but I really need you to show me a combination of fabrics using the color wheel so that I can see how it works. I'm going to purchase one and see if I can figure it out.

Okay. This is a excellent presentation but not as informative as I was looking for. Now I know the "technical" terms on a color wheel, I know I need to "read" the color wheel to get more detailed information about the technical terms, but there was no explanation on how to use it. Huh? Where's the instruction and examples of which colors go together????

Just like Heather says in the video, you can read the information that comes with the color wheel on how to use it to help select color combinations. She also did talk about the combinations shown on the back with complementary, triad, and tetrads.

Although I understood some of how to use the ColorWheel, I walked away from the video very confused. There were so many technical terms but I felt the actual vision of the terms were lacking. It would have been nice if you would have shown some fabrics, or paints, so we could actually see what you were speaking about. I do appreciate your time, I felt a littles less technical terms and more displaying visually how the wheel works, the majority of us users would have walked away with a big ‘aha’ moments.
