Finally, another 32 key choice. I really don't understand why manufacturers almost universally shy away from this key number and key size. I'm not a 'keyboardist', as such, so maybe I just don't understand the needs of those folks who are. But it fits in small studio and performance spaces so well it would seem to be a proverbial "no-brainer".

I bet the market is probably larger for 25 or 49 but 32 is a great middle ground

As a... sorta not really “keyboardist” I can’t play as quickly or accurately on the tiny m32 keys, but I do think the trade offs are worth it for portability. For more intricate playing I can still use my bigger board.

Love Native Instruments Komplete and already have Maschine MK3. Ordered the M32 as a compact companion to Maschine MK3 as I found my Alessio keyboard too big for most uses. The M32 fits on my desk alongside the Maschine MK3 and I don't have to switch my focus to my keyboard stand all the time.

I have just bought both of these native instruments units and you have helped me understand that they were made to compliment each other instead of an all in one unit like the MPK mini mk3. The Arturia minilab mk2 came with many extra plugins and analog lab as well, just as one of your other videos explained.

@mrautomatech23295 жыл бұрын
Itthi Saiphrom Yes, this is what I want to know as well. You do a review about a keyboard and just casually gloss over the feel of the key bed. That's the most important thing. I too think like the Akai Mini keys feel like complete garbage, just mushy and spongy as hell. Are these similar? A little more reaction? Just wishing you could compare it to other mini keyboards that have been released. Guess I'll have to wait until it drops to find out myself. It's definitely a great packaged deal, but Also, NI mentioned themselves it only integrates w 3 DAWs at the moment.

Today I've got one, got my first look, tried it with Maschine, Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt... and then tried to customize the MIDI (for use in non-supported DAW) only to find out that they allow to customize only the knobs, channel for keys and the pedal. There are roughly 12-19 more possible buttons (depending how you count it and I left some buttons for internal functions) and one more big knob completely useless. That's a shame when I compare it to my old Maschine Mikro where I could assign most of the buttons. Also, you can't customize velocity curves in MIDI mode (again, you could with Maschine Mikro Mk1). Otherwise it feels great, it would be such a great MIDI keyboard - but now it feels like silly NKS keyboard and I'm very sad. I'll probably calm down tomorrow, but this feels like NI is trying to be the Microsoft of music. Is it normal for other manufacturers that buttons do NOTHING in midi mode? I doubt it.
