I met Karriem in 1998/1999 after his set at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago with Ray Brown and Geoff Keezer. He was incredibly kind to me and inspired me so much as a teenage drummer who had just gotten into jazz. Very cool to see this 25 years later.

So cool to see Kyle around. Met him at NRG once. Told me that the kick mic should be placed further away from the drum to capture lownend. Sound waves need space to travel to the mic.

I'm a Reason user and yes it definitely feels like they prioritise devices over DAW workflow and modifying. The plugin market is where the money is at most and slowly more and more audio brands are following the trend.
