NATO On The Line: The Views of Four Former SACEURs

Four Former Supreme Allied Commanders of Europe-General Philip M. Breedlove, General James L. Jones, General Joseph W. Ralston, and General Wesley K. Clark-join Dr. Seth G. Jones to discuss the implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They will share their perspectives on how this invasion shapes the near- and long-term relationships among NATO allies, particularly as the Alliance works toward a new Strategic Concept to be released in June at the Madrid Summit. They will also consider how a Europe can leverage this moment to build a stronger security framework moving forward, including through a more robust EU defense policy and EU-NATO cooperation.
