Ukraine has embarrassed a superpower on the world's stage. They have shown the entire world what a proud and freedom loving people can do when threatened withSlavery. We are not in USSR times. Modern Russia is not a superpower anymore. A country with an economy the size of Spain can never be considered a superpower. They just did not have as powerful army as most people thought they did. And btw most analysts don't see any win on the horizon for Ukraine whatsoever.

@@theo3030 Most experts agree that a win for Russia is impossible at this point. They have made NATO stronger than ever by making Finland and Sweden members. Russia has been condemned by the majority of the world's countries. They have been sanctioned by most countries, and are locked out of most international trade. Additionally half of their sovereign wealth fund assets are frozen and half their military materiell is broken. Not sure what a win by Russia could be considered to look like, but certainly it does not look like one.

naive person, do you understand what you are asking for ?) Ukraine has closed the border to its own citizens who would like to leave the country and do not want to die at the front, mobilization goes on endlessly - people are caught on the street, at work, on a bus, in a shopping mall center... and sent by force to the front. And the other day a new law on mobilization was adopted, where the clause on demobilization was completely removed, that is, if you are sent to the front, you will fight endlessly, like a slave, until you are killed or you become crippled without arms or legs. Are you sitting in your Canada or somewhere overseas and asking for the continuation of this massacre for Ukrainians? I have no words...

The issue is more than just U.S. jobs, the actual money is spent on weapons that are given to OUR military. In turn, we then send other weapons to Ukraine, so the bill is really about supplying our own military with weapons systems. Also, some Media and members of Congress are NOT representing the Russia Ukraine conflict truthfully, fairly. Our support of Ukraine is fundamental to stopping Russia from reconstituting a new authoritarian expansive power in Europe. We either spend money now stopping Putin's immutable military expansion, or the circumstances will guarantee that in two or three years, we will be involved in a World War with US troops fighting in Europe, losing thousands of soldiers and spending trillions of dollars. MT Green and many members of Congress who are scrambling for the US to not provide help to Ukraine under the guise of focusing on "domestic" policies are the very ones who will get us involved in worse international wars. The US/Mexico border is a problem, buy saying that you will not stop Putin's authoritarian destruction in Europe until we solve the US border problem is nonsense. The EU can supply money. They have given more money than the US, until this latest Congressional approval on Saturday. The problem is that after WW2, Europe did not develop production capabilities for large-scale munitions and weapons assembly; the US is the major provider and production region. So, Europe says that they plan to change this because they don't want to rely on US production being held up by future congresses.

They need to stick to the issues and policies they are for or against as well as what they intend to do about them. Then stick to your claims. We need easier ways to remove the ones that flip during their term as well. If they wish to change policy line or parties they need to finish their term as is and flip between terms.

NATO has acted as a stabilizer to world order and deterrent to countries that consider irreasonably acting up since it creation. NATO and all its members are precious to stay together. The USA contributes most but also has most at stake as the binding agent of NATO. The 2% is the target and more NATO allies are waking up. In this sense, this challenge was a good exercse. Now lets get down to business. MAybe someday Ukraince will join the alliance and it will be the best answer to give to Rusia for having had the bade idea of acting up. They should have been pushed out of Crimea in 2014. That was a mistake to let it happen. It just emboldened Putin and a stop needs to be to terminate that insanity.

The U.S. sent enormous amounts of aid to Britain, the communist Soviet Union, and the Republic of China in Asia during World War II. This was initially through lease bills, but at the end of the war, the U.S. made all aid sent during the war unrepayable for postwar reconstruction. This allowed Western Europe to achieve economic recovery. The U.S. was great at that time.

We should believe those who know the Russians best - their neighbours like Poland, Ukraine, Eastern Europe. Another thing, we need to tackle the circumvention of sanctions by some western companies, and the third countries (especially Central Asia and China) that are re-exporting sensitive technology and machine tools to Russia. Its maddening that so much western technology is still getting to Russia.

Russia illegally invaded Ukraine According to most estimates, every day of the war in Ukraine costs Russia $500 million to $1 billion. That is up to $ 730 billion since the beginning of the special military operation. Since the beginning of the special military operation at least 300, 000 Russian soldiers have been killed. That'sRussian blood on Putin's hands The Russian people have paid about $ 600 billion and had more than 300,000 of their brothers, husbands and fathers killed in return. Another two years of the so very 'limited military operation' will double these figures: an investment of $ 1,200 billion with an ROI of more than 600 000 dead Russian bodies. Putin is clearly very stupid and bloodthirsty not to want to stop this ruinous 'limited military operation' . He has blood on his hands, don't you agree edpeterson? Putin is clearly very peace loving ( and stupid) not to want to stop this ruinous 'special military operation' Russia has OBLITERATED six Ukrainian cites and maimed and killed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians - babies, children, women, men.... Putin and Russia have blood on their hands edpeterson
