That's something that's especially cool about hockey - For the other major sports, kids may dream of winning the World Series, or the Super Bowl, or the NBA Finals, and all those trophies have names but that's not what you're thinking about when you imagine a 3-2 count in the 9th inning of game 7, or seconds left with the game on the line. For hockey, kids dream of those moments too, but also the following moments of winning the Stanley Cup and hoisting it overhead as they skate around the ice.

Patrick Do Unlike other Championship trophies, there is only 1 Stanley Cup. The winning team gets to have the Stanley Cup for a summer, then it is returned for the next NHL Champion. Championship teams are left with a hanging banner, photos, videos, and a lifetime of memories, but no Cup.
