Natsuki’s lines went pretty hard, but the comebacks of Raven felt incredibly natural to her character. It’s really close, but I think Raven gets the edge, but Natsuki fought undeniably well. Also, after the “wasting your paper” line, kinda expected Natsuki to piss off Raven by mentioning Malchior.

Ok, as hard as Natsuki's verses went and the "Ouija Board" line was, I have to give this to Raven. Her rebuttals we're on point and she had lines that genuinely stung! This was basically a battle between disrespectful lines vs amazing setups and witty lines leading to haymakers! Also the animation was astounding and I definitely want to see more!

Explaining some references! (I'm not including plain insults or easy to understand ones.) 0:25 - Demons are connected to goats usually,, Raven is half demon. Half of the word goat is go, Referencing to Teen Titans GO! 0:28 - "doing that could go." Again like the side show Teen Titans GO! (Could be a stretch but i'm including it.) 0:33 - Referencing to Beast Boy 0:34 - How Raven locked herself away so she wouldn't loose control and hurt people. 0:42 - Amy is a girl from one of Natsuki's poems called 'Amy Likes Spiders'. It's about a girl who is shunned away from other people because she likes spiders. So Natsuki is saying even Amy, a girl who likes spiders wouldn't like Raven. 0:45 - Two things! One, Eagles Can Fly is one of the poems Natsuki wrote in her game. Two, Raven's mom was part of a cult that worship the demon that was her father. She left out of fear after giving birth to Raven. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1:06 - In the game, Natsuki is very sensitive and defensive against criticism, even it's constructive. 1:16 - She is insulting two things at once. How Natsuki never received any love from her father, and how she was malnourished growing up because her father never had the money to feed her. 1:21 - Again on how commenting on how she was starved as a kid, and how Monika throws a energy bar at her in the second act of the game. 1:25 - Referencing two things, How the rest of her club is trying to get with the protagonist of the game and Sayori's death. Which could be a nudge to her dead mom? Get it? 2:25 - Again referencing how Natsuki got her neck sn4pped off. 2:27 - Buffsuki is a meme in the Doki Doki fandom. 2:30 - Could be a jab at how frail Natsuki is or a reference to a popular theory that Natsuki has a e4t1ng disorder . 2:34 - Raven has the ability to see with her third eye. But she's saying it's so obvious that she doesn't need the magic. 2:37 - Again referencing to the poem 'The Raven'. 2:39 - Raven is mentioning two things again. One, How 'his' (Doki Doki's protag) love was really a game for him, being Doki Doki Literature Club is a dating sim. Two, the word 'Nevermore' is actually the last word in 'The Raven' (the poem), Nevermore means "never again" or "at no time in the future.", So Raven is saying that Natsuki relationship is over and never happening again. (Took me awhile but it's worth it lmao)

Great visuals, great voice acting, great beat, FRESHY YOU JUST NEVER MISS WITH THESE BATTLES. This one is yet another, BODY BAG. Natsuki tried to go for the TTG show (and let's be honest that's low hanging fruit at this point), and the mom bar may have been a hard DONNIE, but it lost a little bit of steam when she rementioned it in her 2nd. Raven came with a demeanor similar to Billie Eilish or Eleven and her 1st had the MOST disrespectful bar in the whole battle. Not to mention the rhyme schemes and visuals were outstanding. When her 2nd hit and she did her last line, I literally threw my Don DeMarco mic and said "BATTLE OVER". Because it was OVER.

I genuinely don’t like it when people say rap battles are a bodybag unless they actually are. Face it; this was close and while we can disagree Natsuki was the winner (also, disses on different aspects/parts of roughly the same topic are different from repeated disses).

This rap battle felt like the ultimate preppy, mean girl vs the class bad a$$ everyone is scared of talking to or fighting. It's also the only fictional rap battle where both sides were so good it felt like a tie.

U sure? I though Natsuki had fewer flaws (plus the extra two lines of Raven in round two were unnecessary. I know that the creator doesn’t often like equal line distributions, but I could’ve worked there; Raven could’ve not gone overtime for that round at least). Also, I noticed some “repeated disses” and ones that don’t hit as hard as others; if I were part of the writing process, I would go look at the DDLC+ side stories with Natsuki in them for a good fight. Specific disses to a character tend to hit harder, and this could have given Raven a better chance of winning. Also, “Raven crushed her with her last verse”, it literally (imo) had the fewest amount of Don DeMarco worthy lines, with about 4-5 (compared to the previous three verses, which have 12, 9-10, and 8 Don DeMarco’s respectively, though you may disagree with this if you’d like).
