YUMMY! During the summer time, we mix our natto with some soba noodles, green onions and ponzu! We also like eating it on top of Japanese milk bread as well :D

My mouth has watered for years watching you eat this on the vlogs, and I recently started making a different traditional breakfast from around the world each Sunday for fun...I think it's Japan's turn! I've been wanting to try it for so long!

Me and my daughter just had some the first time yesterday. We added a raw egg, rice, chives, kewpie mayo and furikake. It was so good! My daughter said it was ok. Can’t wait to try it these other ways!

I love natto! Its smell can be off-putting because it’s slimy and fermented, but the taste is milder than you might expect. This is my method because I usually have it as a quick n’ dirty breakfast: Heat up rice in a bowl. Crack an egg into the bowl of rice and microwave for 45 seconds to a minute. I never have any eggsplosions, but cover just in case. The egg should be mostly cooked but still have a gooey center by now. I mix the natto with the mustard and included sauce in the styrofoam container then add it to the rice. Lastly, I top it with a little soy sauce, masago, furikake and green onion. Mix it all up and voila! Breakfast! I know not everyone uses a microwave and I respect that, but it works for me. My family is afraid to try natto so I cook it solely for myself and don’t want a ton of dishes to wash before I move on with my day. Thanks for sharing your natto styles Benji!

Puerto Rican rice the crunchy bits are called pegado. It’s pretty good. I take it that natto may be a required taste for some.

Learned how to eat Natto because of you! And we prep it your way, really umami. Downside is we do not have eggs fresh enough to eat raw in our rice here.

I’ve never had this type of fermented soybeans before, and the recipe with the chili oil looks pretty appetizing. I’ve had fermented soybeans from a glass jar that was jarred in liquid. We’d eat it with chicken and pork congee

The packet you didn’t use in the natto and in the egg instead, in pretty sure that’s sesame oil not soy sauce..? Am I wrong? I feel like I’ve had that brand before

It is def an acquired taste! Now i Don't eat egg so im sure that plays a big part on the taste. But the NATO itself i seriously dont know how u can eat it. U guys grew up eating it but it's something I would think is rotten just like how kombucha is so sour this is so fermented like a strong cheese! Many years ago i tried to try it cause u made it look so good lol i give you guys 5 stars! 🌟
