It's a pestle. Who knew that green onions had a bitter middle? Not me.
@Disneylover009 ай бұрын
We’ve always used pretty much the whole onion, even my Mexican grandma too. Never noticed a bitter middle.

He took out the middle of the green onions because bitter but proceeds to leave jalapeno seeds in which are bitter ... 🤷

Benji does it again. I'm going to try my own guacamole, but I can't do the cilantro I really dislike the taste. I love the style of the videos just natural and you cooking and shopping and pops in from the fam once in awhile, just relaxed and nice. Great job on the consistency.

To me cilantro tastes like stinkbugs smell 😅 I read it's determined by our genes. But I love parsley and use it in guacamole instead.

The molcajete or bowl is called the "mortar." The "pestle" is a rounded grinding club often made of the same material as the mortar.

I just made this and it easily beats your previous 10 guacamole. I don’t have a molcajete so I “minced” it in a ziploc and my spice bottle to form the paste. Thank you for the recipe.

Also with any type of tortilla chips, I Always bake in the oven at 250 for maybe 7 mins. It releases the oils and gives it a “fresh” out of the fryer taste. Let’s make some bacon cheese egg bites!

The mocajete may be legit, although looks too perfect, I have seen some more modern companies starting to make them this way for aesthetic purpose. I think it’s more preference. I like mine being “imperfect”

@Fiore611069 ай бұрын
I want to know that as well. I have one, but I don't use it because it leaves some residue behind, like sand texture from the bowl. I know you have to clean it before the first use but don't know how. You can also make salsa in there, too.
