I'm glad I found your video of poodle puffs because I'm a grown woman and we can wear them too! Weave is optional. Looks great on you and great tips! This is my go to style now. Easy to do and has lasted up to 4 weeks for me. Went to the beach too and it still looked nice with some shrinkage.

I did this style ages ago and the take down was something else. I had to employ a knitting needle (to stop me from cutting my hair) and pull the elastic away from my strands!

I would definitely be more careful. In this style your hair is basically loose, so with washing, there is a looooot more risk of shrinking and tangling. If anything I would just cleanse your scalp with apple cider vinegar and a cotton ball or something :)

I know this video is a year old now. But I love this hairstyle so much. And I love it more that you didn’t add hair (not that I’m hating on ppl that do) but I noticed that I started feeling bald and insecure about the amount of hair I had. I kept them in for a month! I could have kept them longer if I wanted to, but I wanted my fro back. I did them on someone elses hair and she kept hers in all summer (about 2.5 months)

What do you mean by waterproof? Doesn’t it still shrink?

great question! In tis case, when I say "waterproof" I mean that if you go out into the rain it isn't going to ruin to style because this style is made to be shrunken/poofy as opposed to sleek. I wouldn't recommend submerging your hair in water, although I did this style on someone else's hair, and they did choose to do that. I did not take the style down for them though, and I am guessing it was a little tougher to take down and detangle than mine was.

I toootally get it! Mine gets dry too. For the most part, I wash my hair every 7 days which is why I mostly wear wash n gos, but I treat my hair kinda like I treat food. I do what is healthy like 90% of the time, and then I splurge every once in a while 😊
