Idk how I ran across your channel, but b/c of u I am strictly a Co-washer. I started co-washing my hair October 19th. 1st using ur moisture seal regimen & then took time w/diff products in my hair, not too many at a time tho. I now use the As I Am Coconut Co-wash & leave in (awesome sauce!), as well as some Cantu products. Still tryna find the best 1's for curl, hair growth, & moisture, but I pre-poo, deep treat, hot oil treat, & will do a clarifying treatment in abt a month b/c the cowash works so well, I haven't had to yet. I tired to shampoo once since I started this, it was Shea moisture, but it was a COMPLETE disaster. Otherwise it's been a great journey so far. I anticipate healthier & longer hair over the next yr, Lord's willing. Thank u for ur updates on keeping women's hair healthy. It is a pleasure to see someone doing something positive & teaching ppl to love the skin they're in 😊. P.S. Please make more videos.

Hi Quinn, what would you suggest if you do not have a hooded dryer to sit under? I do have a diffuser which I have never used and I like your video so I am thinking of giving it a try. Your hair was so pretty after the wash. Thanks so much for sharing.
@naturallyquinn8 жыл бұрын
Hi Lizzie! If you don't have access to a hooded dryer then a diffuser is the way to go. You'll still get great results. It just takes a bit longer. I have to do this whenever I travel. Just be sure not to play or tousle your hair until it is completely dry, or else you will experience unwanted frizz. I find that doing it this way, sometimes ill think my hair is dry only to find moist sections a 1/2 hr later. So ill go back and diffuse for another 5 min or so. Let me know how your hair comes out! Thsnks for watching 💜

I've been waiting for this!!! Well worth the wait! I went to get the As I Am leave in which I never tried and the jelly which I had tried once months ago but don't really remember if I liked it or not, but gave away to an aunt in need; unfortunately the store only had the leave in )-; and KKKT was on clearance so I just picked that up. I say all this to say, I still want to try your combo but am wondering if the jelly causes shrinkage and how does it hold up in humidity/rain (its rainy lately in NY). Is it similar to KKKC and/or Camille Rose Curl Maker? If yes then I may need to stick with my DIY Eco styler mix, those do not keep my hair from shrinking. Thanks! Love your hair sooo much!..I like the 3D comment for 3c/4a mix lol, I'm using that from now on..I'm the same hair type.
@naturallyquinn8 жыл бұрын
Lol, thank you! I would say yes you will get shrinkage since your curls will be very defined. But you can combat that. And honestly I love the humidity on my wash and go, it gets softer and more stretched, more natural looking. I am not a fan of KKKC. I only ever tried it once and I would say I like As I am much better. And I have never tried Camille Rose curl maker, sorry 😔 I'll show the difference with Eco in my next wash and go video. I'll post it in early December.
@sadiqua78 жыл бұрын
+NaturallyQuinn great! Thanks so much. I think I'll embrace humidity in a year as of now it just shrinks my hair so much after I painstakingly stretch the way you do. I'm learning how to enjoy my journey and am proud I'm pushing through this "awkward" stage. Will look for the Dec video. Happy holidays!😊
@naturallyquinn8 жыл бұрын
Ha! I know all about the awkward stage. I hear you! Happy holidays to you as well! And I'll shout you out in the Eco styler video ☺️
@sadiqua78 жыл бұрын
+NaturallyQuinn aww, thank you! I now use As I am leave in, I like the jelly, but I think the smoothing gel is better for me..the jelly doesn't hold against humidity for me..I may have used to much though, so will keep adjusting. Love that all their products smell the same. Ten pure coconut creme cleanser is amazing for a co wash FYI

Hey Quinn, which wash and go you like best, the eco styler and As I am leave in or the Aussie, As I am , and curling gel? I plan on doing one of them on Sunday. I am leaning towards the Aussie one.
@naturallyquinn8 жыл бұрын
Hey Lizzie! I would suggest that if you have shorter hair to go with the As I Am and if you have long hair go with Eco styler. Both are really good but I would say hair length is the factor that makes a difference. As I am is more light weight which i think looks best on shoulder length or shorter hair. Eco is more elongating so hair comes out flatter. Which is a nice look on longer hair. 😊

Hi Tanya! Here are my anti frizz rules 1. Don't play in your hair. I know it's tempting, but keep your hands out of your hair as much as possible. 2. Never lay down (not even to take a 5min nap) without protecting your hair. 3. Have a good nighttime routine. Gorgeous hair!! And this is all love, but using conditioner to "wash" your hair is not the same as using shampoo. (Cleansing conditioners cleans hair! lol) If you're covered in dirt and you take a shower but use lotion to wash yourself, yes the dirt comes off but it's basically a moisturizing rinse. And this can lead to build up if one doesn't at least clarify their hair, especially if one is using products like gels and jellies. Again all love but you never know who takes your word for things and may end up having tons of build up and stifled growth b/c of it.... Of course it's obviously not the end of the world but ijs

Are there any brushes which aren't destroy my hair texture? Sorry, if my English isn't that good but I'm from Germany. Love, Celine

Grey Celine also, are you brushing it dry ? because any curly hair is gonna do that
@antisocel7 жыл бұрын
Bby Aoki Actually no. I'm brushing it wet 🙈
@cherishheart17 жыл бұрын
Grey Celine it depends on what kind of brush you're using. Secondly, you shouldn't brush your hair when wet unless it's to put it in a style such as a low pony etc. You say that you don't have time for finger detangling but honestly with the right conditioner that provides the right amount of slip, it can feel like a breeze! I also have 3c/4a hair. You have to find out which products/tools/routines work out for you and when to use them. I suggest going to MoKnowsHair KZbin channel.
