My first thought at what essential oil to add was, "Oregano oil!" ...though that's probably because I put oregano in almost eveything savoury I cook, esepcailly if it involves tomatoes, and also the only essential oils I have on hand at the mement are lavender and oregano!
@luludi310 ай бұрын
@bunhelsingslegacy3549 Hi! Oregano essential oil speeds up trace like crazy so be careful if you ever want to make soap with it. I suggest basil instead, it smells so nice in soap and is much easier to work with. 🍃🍅

Very nice finish and color!❤ I thoroughly enjoy this video. Does this soap leave a color in the water? Also, I'm curious if excessive cooking may reduce the fruit's potency for topical use.
@iluminameluna10 ай бұрын
Most soaps don't leave color behind, w/ the exception of activated charcoal. If too much is added to soap, the suds will contain the fine powder and will be deposited in the wash towels or the materials used to scrub. If there's soap scum, that'll be gray as well... 🫤

So when it come to the soaps that you make is there a of tripling your soap recipe batch without causing your soap to crystallize from the citric acid?
@renujha243110 ай бұрын
Whatever batch size or recipe you may be using, citric acid is to be added at a rate of 1 to 2% of the total weight of your oils. And then, for every gram of citric acid that you use, you have would have to increase the sodium hydroxide amount by 0.6 times of that. Example: You use a total of 1000 gms of oils. Then citric acid will be 20 gms (at 2%). Whatever your sodium hydroxide amount is, as per the recipie, you would add 12 gms more to that. Hope this helps.
