Thanks a lot Nikhil bhai for educating. I am in my journey from not using any fragrance at all to using deos in college to in last 4-5 months mindlessly buying clones. Now I am gravitating towards using natural perfumes and maybe eventually creating my own blend. Will support our local attar shops from now on... Keep growing bhai!

You are right about price exploitation by designer perfume industry. I can quote an example or two where I paid a lot less price and quality was better when the perfume was cheaper. D&G Pour Homme : price in 2001 £10 price now is £60 Lacoste Red: Price in 2003: £25 price now is over £40 Both of the above lasted longer when I bought them back in the day and over the years as price increase the quality and longevity both when down. I also use deodorant sticks and Joop pour homme I used in 2012 lasted all day long than the one I use now. I have increased my collection over the years and I also have a few attars. My favourite right now are Dior Sauvage and classic Dior Eau Sauvage, Guerlain Vetiver and Guerlain Habit Rouge, Safari by Ralph Lauren and Pasha by Dunhill. I used clones of Neroli Portofino and Creed Aventus made by an online UK perfumer trading as Perfume-Parlour their 50ml bottle is only £12. But I can say for sure that someone who knows perfume like you can tell when you a wearing a clone perfume . When I travelled to Pakistan a couple of years ago I when to a shop to buy perfume and this young sales assistant was trying to sell me foreign designer stuff. I simply asked him give me something that not everyone interested in this old guy baba Ji sold me two bottle of Medora a Pakistani brand and trust me I got a lot of compliments wearing them two different Medora perfumes than my expensive designer perfumes and guess what the price of each 50ml bottle was just Rs. 250.
