Tebu jenis warna hijau kelabu dulu banyak ditanam di pulau Jawa, Indonesia. Namun sekarang jenis tebu tersebut sudah jarang dijumpai di perkebunan negara saya. Padahal tebunya renyah/empuk dan sangat manis rasanya. Kalau diolah di pabrik menghasilkan gula dengan rendemen tinggi. Industri tebu di negara saya Indonesia telah menurun drastis. Sayang sekali bahwa pemerintah negara saya saat ini kurang mempedulikan kelangsungan bisnis perkebunan tebu. Di jaman pemerintah orde baru industri perkebunan tebu maju dan subur karena mendapatkan perhatian dan perioritas dari pemerintah. Semoga pemerintah Presiden Prabowo mau mempedulikan serta membangun, membudi-dayakan kembali perkebunan tebu dengan teknik pengelolaan modern seperti yang ada di negara-negara luar.

Well, this is sugar cane indeed, but in a very small farm, producing it for market or street juice marketing. Because in the large farms in Brazil there's none of this caring and cutting leaves, its all done by machinery , cut and transported by big trucks into the factories to process.
