Australia produces more sugarcane then anywhere. Else. We produce upto 45 millions tons a year Brazil produces 739,300 thousand metric tons a year. So quite clearly australia produces more. We export 80% of ours as we have so much. We dont import any etiher

My grandmother had a sugar cane mill on their farm back in the 1920's in south Georgia. It was powered by a mule. Last time I was there the mill and well where still there.

This is totally wrong. Burning would decrease sugar content. Sugar Mills her in the Philippines doe snot accept burned sugarcanes because of they are low quality. Burning is the work of a lazy person.

I was really interested in this video and I'm sure there was good information in it but the big problem with this video is you can't hear the commentator all you hear is the dam music don't put music in a video while there is commentator is trying to talk!!!!!! When i was a child in my hometown province in Puerto Princesa City Palawan way back in 1970's I remember biting sugarcane harvested from our neighbor..my teeth are strong still then...but now that i am already in my late 50's i buy sugarcane juice freshly squeeze in Suki Market near me in Quezon City Philippines....

If they turned the straw into biochar and put back into the field then they would be massively carbon negative. Likewise the same for most other agricultural products. Over 90% of the carbon is sequestered from plant material that would have quickly decayed and released the carbon as CO2. It costs virtually nothing, and is low tech. This can be done across the world and would quickly address and likely even solve "climate change" assuming carbon was ever an issue and not a cash grab tax scam for money power and control.

Sugar cane also for sugar production? In Africa we used/use this to produce "cane juice", which is gin....fermentation of cane juice then the process of boiling the juice in giant pots💦
