Very informative. I’ve been T2 for 7 years, on and off meds. Tried many diets. Nov 1,23 , I started a low carb diet and and checking my blood sugar before and 2 hours after I eat and found carbs are what causes my high blood sugar, I cut out all breads, pasta, rice, sweets. After a month I started noticing my blood sugars have been coming down and my blood pressure has been coming down. I try to do some exercises throughout the day, like I’ll do squats while I’m cooking dinner and other forms of exercise while watching tv or whatever. I have lost 4 inches of belly fat and have not lost any actual weight yet. I have been doing fasting slowly. I eat meat, non starchy vegetables and dairy. A few days ago I felt shaky for the first time and I checked my BS and it was way lower than it’s been in 7 years. I am still having high blood sugar in the morning but it’s lower than it was if that makes sense. I’ve been seeing way lower numbers than I had when I was taking metformin. I’m doing everything I can and I am prepared to take meds in the future if I need to. I am also finding keto recipes on KZbin. I also found out I’m gluten intolerant so I can not eat breads, wheats or whole grains anyways. I wish myself success and everyone else battling diabetes. I wish a cure would be found.

You are doing great!!!! Keep up the good work!!! I my self have type 2 diabetes and my A1C is 8.7 now.😮 I use to take Metformin and at night the long acting insulin. Now I am taking Estglatro 15mg. And long acting insulin. I am going to try slowly the fasting method and avoiding to much oatmeal I use to eat.🤩 May the Lord keep us safe and blessed. 🙌🙌❤

Say I'm T2 also been since 18' with a blood sugar of 1000 yes a THOUSAND. Yes I know Dr. was puzzled bc ones @ 500 ate ALREADY dying. First every night I was sprinkling CINNAMON powder in a bowl of cereal for a yearish. I took my physical @ the end of 2019 went for the results 2020. My kidneys were good my liver was good my A1c was 6.0 I reversed my diabetes I now drink me 3 cups a cinnamon tea every morning maybe 1 more @ note. I know I know I know once a diabetic ALWAYS a diabetic I know. I'm able to eat me a slice of Cherry pie periodically, a slice of Pecan periodically, a large cinnamon roll periodically and light sweets periodically Hey might work for you might not every body is different so do your research I did and found out cinnamon works for me. First place to start is CINNAMON. Google which Cinnamon is best for a diabetic Google any food you are sure about for a diabetic and it will tell you if it is good for a diabetic or not Be careful be blessed.

My hubby and I changed our lifestyle in March of 2023. We found fasting in May of 2023. I quit buying “low fat/non fat” anything, and I began making my own yogurt, sour cream, mayo, butter, and salad dressings. We always have worked out with a trainer doing weights 2 times a week, but didn’t do a thing about our diet. We have a treadmill, that we (began) consistently getting on X 30 minutes a day, staying in our “fat zone”. We also stopped eating after 7:30 pm and try to only eat in the daylight hours. We initially only ate chicken, Turkey, or lamb, with organic veggies ~ no potatoes except sweet, oatmeal/brown rice a few times a week was where we got some of our carbs. Every veggie, (except peas and corn), and every bean known to man, is where the bulk of our carbs came from. He is a type 2 diabetic, I was “dancing” with my diagnosis … on metformin; but that was it. He was taking 4 shots a day and one on Sunday. Frankly we were just sick of feeling like crap, and being FAT! We gave everything we wouldn’t eat away. No homemade bread/peanut butter/home baked goodies we buy organic meat/veggies from local farmers, I can/preserve everything I get my hands on, and have a huge garden. There is a test called the HOMA-IR test that gives you a number. The closer you are to 1.5, or below the less insulin resistant you are the higher the number the MORE insulin resistant you are. When I started I was 3.5, and in November I was 1.4. He’s gone down 10 pant sizes, and I’ve gone down 8! We don’t even look like the same people. Our longest fast has been 64 hours, and honestly fasting, and losing weight has been the easiest thing we’ve ever done. To date we have each lost 75 pounds! That is 150 pounds OR A PERSON between us. You may find as my hubby did when we began fasting that his blood sugar went up when fasting, because his body was “eating” his fat stores. He expects by April to be a non-diabetic! It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. By only eating 1/2 the week, we can afford organic food, which has been nice ~ that and having a partner to do it with. We do NOT count anything, and that’s a relief. Good luck to everyone. Face facts, very few doctors are interested in us being well, theres no money in THAT! Thanks to doctors on KZbin, we found the secrets to being well, and have done as they’ve suggested. And it’s paid off! Thank you Doctor Dazer, and God Bless you! ❤️

After 2 weeks of fasting my insulin has gone lower and lower, now between 3.8 to 4.6 so I test it every day. It was between 7.8 to 10 before. I'm only diebetic for 8 months now. Tested for sugar diebetic to have eye surgery. Also test my blood pressure which is much lower now 121 / 74 126 / 78, I've got an appointment to see my doctor. I'm 68 years old. I think I've reversed my symptoms. Excersize daily for 15 minutes as I've got a metal ankle. I'm in Durban , South Africa. Blessings

​@@DrAdaOzoh, Type 2 diabetes can obviously be reversed. It is said that Type 1 is basically genetic. Your perspectives on controlling Type 1 is paramount. I am NOT diabetic but values your edification.

I'm insulin resistant and have high BP. I live in stress with toxic alcoholic. My issue is cortisol, I believe, which raises my blood sugar and pressure. I try to eat as you describe, but sadly I eat frequently. That probably raises my levels. Thank you so much for these easy to understand, caring videos! Doctors don't listen to me and want me on meds. I'm afraid of meds. My husband lost 1st wife to diabetes. Meds destroyed her liver and heart.😢

@@eyajuda13heb85 there are 3 things to take into consideration first. The amount of food, the type of food and the frequency on how you take yr food. The main aim is to rest the pancreas so that less insulin is released. Intermittent fasting is 4/4/16.

Beautiful information. I was diagnosed T2D in 2019 with complications of cataract. During COVID -19 in 2020 there was no hope. But I worked in the interment tasting, diet and exercise it has worked. Now I'm not on drugs for March 2020. Today I have blood sugar 5.7mmol/ l

It is wrong to recommend rice to diabetics. Rice spikes glucose very fast as it is high in glicemic index.

Look into resistant starch. If rice is cooled before it is eaten the starches change into a new form that doesn't spike sugars and creates short chain fatty acids which feed the gut.

Ive been on Janumet XR since 2022 and my A1C has been decreasing not increasing. Folks actually have to PUT IN THE WORK and eat better and take the medications daily. A 65 year old woman, family friend, recently got off meds and is no longer Type2. A1C of 4..

When I started off, I began only eating ketogenic food. It help a lot. Don't just eat anything, it won't help, my body need to adapt. Now, it has been 4 years, I can gradually eat anything I want because my body got use to it. If I see insulin resistant, it is easier for me to fast. Within 48 hours, I lost 2 kilo and my blood sugar goes back to 70-85. Remember, I cannot cure my prediabetic but I can monitor and fix the problem when it arise by using the 48 to 72 hours prolong fasting then I go back to 21 hours fasting. My Technic helps me control my weight and at the same time control my blood sugar and mental clarity. Remember, I have tried everything in the book to bring down my insulin resistant which is my blood sugar and keep my memory from being forgetful, and the only method that works is what I am doing right now. Remember working out does not help with bringing down my blood sugar nor my memory, only what I wrote in here does the trick.

Say my blood sugar reading is normal so I think I am cured right, my weight is down, I don't piss at night 3 to 4 times anymore...then when I think everything is cool, I start drinking 4 to 5 bottles of beer, eat rice 3 times a day....Bam!!! I go right back to prediabetic mode with all the symptoms coming back. That is why I said what I said

While you are doing this diet and managed to lower your blood sugar and maintain it you will have to get off medication. Its the medication that will bring your glucose to a dangerous level. Remember the liver produces glucose from turning stored glycogen into glucose (glycogenolesys) and can also make new glucose (glucosneogenesis) by using aminonacids and fats. You body has ways to lower glucose and also raise glucose.

Eating one time a day for a few months ! zero carbs, didn’t work for me. I was gaining weight. Also fasting for 40 hours didn’t’ work for me. I did not lose even 1 pounds after that. Why? Also fat makes me fat. I am on the Lion’s diet for a healthy reason.

I wish someone had info about MODY 2 Diabetes (not type 2). My 6 and 12 year old daughters have it too. Im frustrated bc fasting doesnt help me. I can wake up at 175. Also I enjoy keto but literally every week my baseline BS gets higher and higher. Week 1 88 😊 Week 13 155.

I am not diabetic, but I am well-informed and experienced in fasting. I have done it during all my adult years for 30 consecutive days every year, AND some years for longer than 16 hours; AND with no tea, coffee, or water while fasting. I do not consume any alcohol during that period. I can testify that fasting gives the body (and mind, and soul) a huge relief snd cleansing from the junk weexpose ourselves to in the other 11 months. Now, thanks to the excellent information in this video, I learned its positive effects on reducing blood sugar, too. Thank you, doctor. Much appreciated.

I am taking gliclaxide 80g every morning after eating breakfast which is oats plus seeds (pumpkin,chia, cinnamon,flaxseed powder, sunflower seed and almond seed) and i think it's been helpful..... skipping and weight lifting is also one thing that keeps me active

I use complex carbohydrates, nuts,and very diligent in using 5 vegetables each day. Start with a vegetable for breakfast and include a protein. Try to space 3 meals daily with taichi exercise . You will see a big difference in your A1c.

Single foods like instead of potato egg and toast I eat now 1 potatoes in the morning 5 am 6 am i try at 8 am only i feel like im going to lass out. I feel great baked potatoes or fried potatoes in avacadoe oil with beans then I eat 1 egg and zero around 11 am or 12 or 1 pm carb bread then after 1 pm then I have diet meal Atkins or any diet meal at 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 5am insulin 12 pm insulin 6 pm or 7 pm i8 pm slow acting insulin .. slow acting insulin tresiba 6 7 8 pm .. depending on my blood sugars ..no meals last meal is 6 pm 7 pm or 8 pm. I have to eat probiotic yogurt and fruit and chia seeds oatmeal with a little organic sugar I'm just trying to figure that out. When to incorporate sugar 5 am 6 am 7 am 8 am 9 am 10 am 11 am 12 pm 1 pm 2 pm 3 pm 4 pm 5 pm 6 pm 7 pm 8 pm 9 pm and cereal and granola my sweets when to eat them ? I only have water after my last dinner meal .. yet I crave something sweet when my blood sugars are low in the morning 🌄 maybe 1/2 cup of yogurt fruit probiotic 1/2 cup oatmeal with milk sprinkle kf sugar or sugar free sweetness and it is as if I ate full sugar it spikes sugar free 🤔 so not sure .. that's my dificult sweet .. I love Gelato sugar free real cream gelatin and about 1 tablespoon of gelatin and 1 table spoon of the sweetener creamer i have seen consensed sugar example evaporated milk swetned condensed milk for sweetener i haven't tried yet creamer 1 can sweetened condensed milk heat it flavor it I have tried evaporated milk clove oil cinamon nutmeg 1 drop us e it for a sweetener i was craving and it was Abad idea i just don't knkw when to wait for the sweets ..they have chocolate coco chocolate no sugar amd just water blended in the blender with water .. and chocolate chips or Gelato with coco no sugar sweet milk 1 tablespoon gelatin tablespoon sweet cream and creamer then cool and refrigerate the Gelato.. so deliscious my blood sugars were spiking and I just don't know when to eat sweets .. cream with i use essential oil clove nutmeg cinnamon * a lafy said sweet to the mouth bitter to the liver bitter to the mouth sweet to the liver so I often wonder same for the pancreas ❤even if it's sugar free sweets ..home made .. it spikes my blood sugars ..

I just stumbled into this video. Thank you Dr Daze for simplifying the fasting process as a remedy with sound non-technical explanations of issues for a layman's understanding. My age is 38 right now my hba1c is at 6.2% this video is the best explanation video🙏🙏 It is unfortunate and deserves condemnation that there are many money minded companies like sugar fit scaring prediabetics and diabetics online ultimately making them enroll into their taylor made diabetic reversal programs and making lot of profits😡there is a very important information I would like to share that majority people wouldn't be aware of is that blood type B+ve(mine is B+ve)has the highest risk of developing diabetes while O group is at the lowest risk I have a very important question to ask you is it OK that diabetics instead of taking insulin metformin can just walk and lower their blood glucose? Can they substitute walking with taking medication plz answer since I've never used metformin or insulin in my entire life till now I also came to know that diabetics shouldn't be fasting for any longer than 24 hours because of hypoglycemia risk which is more dangerous than hyperglycemia

Fasting is key. We eat (the BAD American diet 24/7) thinking it's ok. Fasting does 99 percent more than pharmacy. Because our life styles encourage greediness, we indulge in unnatural foods to the max. Thanks, Doc for the truth. Even the animals stop eating when feeling discomfort.

Cinnamon tea is the answer well to my body it is,veveryone's body is different so do your research and find out what is good for your body. I did and I found out cinnamon is good for me. Cinnamon is a good place to start.

I am 69 and 20 years ago I was prediabetic then about a year ago I was diagnosed full diabetic. I brought my A1c down from 9.1 to 7.4. I will be getting another a1c test shortly. My blood sugar bounces around, mostly around 140 but can be as high as 170 or as low as 100. I don't use any medication but sometimes I take berberine and if I am going to eat a high carb meal I us a carb blocker.

Also I had diabetes 2 for 19 years ago. My A 1C is now 8:7 high. I am taking Estglatro and long acting insulin at night.
