I would love to learn how to grow a tree over a rock, as you have done. And how to care for it!

Just type "bonsai" in the search bar. There's really good info on how to get started and the process over time. But note...he said this elm has been a 30 YEAR project.

I have a JH Elm that almost didn’t survive this past Winter. I cut back until I found green wood, which ended up being only two inches from the nabari. It is currently pushing some very nice growth. Fingers crossed.

I wonder if you bonsai a miniature slippery elm forest and let them die or start dying if you could get morel mushrooms to grow 😆

So... dude discovers it... takes it to nursery to what, confirm it? Then the nursery owner names it after his OWN daughter... basically stole the discoverers credit yes?

As beautiful this tree is. It doesn't resemble an English elm in England.. usually found in farmers fields along with field maples and tend to grow in a upwards broom style... you won't find these growing over a cliff. I would put the styling more towards an old English oak tree in which is one of my favourites But once again a beautiful tree.

Nicely done, too….with most of the roots exposed, I’m sure it needs special care….

Yup that's it it doesn't get black spot so don't take cuttings and make more before we bonsai it ! Some time's it doesn't work for me got a chance for new shade tree and screws it up.ofda or dumass
