I loved how this story was told in a retrospective and informal format of two friends remembering an experience. And what an experience it was. I loved the sense of connection to the earth and the plant medicine. It solidifies that we truly belong to this land, rather than the land belonging to us.

@jannak9086 if you haven't had San Pedro or Peyote then you can't say Ayahuasca is far more intense, because on a heavy dose of San Pedro or peyote it was personally the strongest experience I have had with any HullucinagenYes you are less likely to meet entity's but the trips are very challenging and unique in other ways, don't underestimate Peyote or san pedro it can make Muschrooms or Acid look like child's play, due to the insane body load, there stimulant effects which most other hullucinagens don't have and the length of the trip

@Skam1one4 ай бұрын
It's definetly cut at an angle and not "ripped out". Ive always heard you cut the button off leaving a small portion of the button and new heads will grow back. I would like to think with the amount of Lophophora they were harvesting that they know what they are doing. Especially since they were saying that you don't rip it out of the ground and cut it so "5 heads will grow back".

Do all peyote ceremonies have an animal sacrifice? Because I want to do it with my best friend but she loves cows/bulls so much. I don't think she would have a good time with the psychedelic if it happened after that sacrifice

Yea, watching footage from the animal product industry has scarred me for life. Definitely not something you want to see before a trip. As an ethical perspective I guess it's not too bad since the animal was sold for food, it's just as bad as a normal person buying meat at the supermarket, which in my opinion is pretty bad...

I understand the meaning of the sacrifice, but seeing the young cow makes me sad. I've only 'tried' peyote once but apparently it wasn't enough or we didn't do it right or something. Idk lol it was a really long time ago. Only other thing I really know about peyote, I've learned from watching Joey Santore on his Crime Pays but Botany Doesn't channel. He's gone to peyote preservation places in Texas and in nature just to study and educate.
