Very Genuinely Curious: We hear about distant cousins to elephants appearing in the weirdest places, and some of them so small they look like rodents. My question is: Are they actual rodents? As in, do they have incisors that never stop growing throughout their lifetimes? Or do they only _look_ like rodents?

It's not really that they look like rodents, it's a common shape for small mammals, but we mostly see rodents that look like it because mice are everywhere and hamsters and gerbils are common pets, so we associate small+round mammals with rodents.

Animals need to learn this, too. I breed rats and that's how it goes for young males the first time lol. Rats also hop around and the females want the males to chase her or they get really upset, and some boys take a moment to figure it out. Often they're too distracted sniffing everything at first and don't even notice the girl hopping around. But once they finally get it then it's like their confidence changes lol.
