- Intro
Have you ever wonder how is it that nowadays there are so many super young people that are so wealthy? (on their own merit). Well, I picked some insights from Naval Ravikant's Podcast and a few interviews of Jimmy (Mr Beast) Donaldson (biggest KZbinr in the world) to fundamentally understand this relatively recent phenomenon.
Below you will find all my notes, reflections and quotes that I took while studying all this content...
🧠 Quotes
"Fortunes require leverage. Business leverage comes from capital, people, and products with no marginal cost of replication (code and media). Apply specific knowledge with leverage and eventually, you will get what you deserve." - Naval Ravikant
"The most valuable thing you can build is an audience"
- Alex Hormozi (founder Acquisition.com)
👨 Speakers
- Naval Ravikant @NavalR
Naval is an entrepreneur and angel investor, a co-author of Venture Hacks, and a co-maintainer of AngelList. I have learnt so much from his deep wisdom about many wide-ranging topics, from meditation and inner freedom to web 3.0 and crypto. I'm grateful for his willingness to share his insights, and inspire me to become a wiser / happier person.
- Jimmy @MrBeast Donaldson
Jimmy (Mr Beast) Donaldson runs several KZbin Channels, a delivery fast food restaurant (Mr Beast Burger) and two philantropic projects: Beast Philantropy and Team Trees. His brand is valued in the Billions of dollars.
📝 Notes
Chapter 1: Naval Ravikant
"Fortunes require leverage. Business leverage comes from capital, people, and products with no marginal cost of replication (code and media). "
Leverage - Is a force multiplier for your input work. It creates a non-linear relationship between the -time effort and quality of your work AND - the outcomes of your work-.
Let's first look at the old forms of Leverage (where all the fortunes were made in the past):
1) Labor Leverage.
2) Capital Leverage
Core Idea: "Products that has no marginal cost of replication"
- The new form of Leverage....

I do not own the audio source/s used to create this video. If any of the owners want their content taken down please contact me via the email in the About section of my channel.
All works of commentary, reviewing, video editing and (many times) the mixing of different content sources do come from this channel's creativity. Thus, I believe there is a "transformation of value" from any particular raw audio source. This value transformation and, given the non-fictional / educational nature of the audio source contents, makes it a stronger case for "fair use" right. Also, I believe this video is supportive to the owners of the audio source contents, as it helps to spread their invaluable message in a positive way. But in any case, as mentioned in the previous paragraph, if any owner do not want their content to be featured in this video, please contact me :)

Neither code nor filming videos makes you rich. Only those who are good entertainers are going to get a lot of following. Basically it is forcing everybody to become an entertainer. The only caveat is that not everything in life is entertainment. What value really these podcasters provide, there might be some who may contribute in terms of technical knowledge but most are just talking rubbish. They are making money because most people are mind numb bots who want non-stop entertainment.
@scotthyperformance1
@scotthyperformance1 Жыл бұрын
Being a online entertainer who gives quick dopamine hits (prank vids, funny jokes etc) is extremely hard to monetise - because quick dopamine hits on the internet are everywhere. HOWEVER, being an online figure who educates, and passes on valuable information to an audience is a much more lucrative, more positive way to make a lot of money. Give genuinely good information that positively impacts peoples lives, and the money will flow to you. P.S. If you can educate WHILE also being entertaining, that’s the jackpot.
@tomh2425

You are not wrong, however from my perspective this channel's purpose is not entertainment but to deliver value and beeing entertaining at the same time keeps people watching and coming back. You have to filter value from noise and clickbaites. Then you can find true value and follow it by beeing a good example for others in sharing value and things you learned in a genuine way :)

I scribbled some notes about this. Hope it helps: There are 2 people making the same investing return per year: 20%. But one person invests only 1k$, whereas the other person invests 1m$. They might be equally good investors (as they are both able to achieve a solid 20% return on their investment), but the amount of money they earn is quite different: the person with the 1k$ will make 200$ of profit, whereas the person with the 1m$ will make 200k$. This difference comes from differences in Capital Leverage. The more money/capital you have to invest, the more (capital) leverage you have and thus more money you can make (or lose -- which is why good judgement is critical when you have high leverage). Besides, if the person who made the 200k$ reinvests it back (total investment = 1.2m$) and makes again a 20% return, now he will make 240k$. Whereas if the person who made the 200$ reinvests it back (total investment = 1.2k$) and makes again a 20% return, he will just make 240$. This is why the rich (people highly leveraged with capital) get richer. The more capital leverage you have, the more money you can gain, and the more money you gain the more capital leverage you get. So it's sort of a "virtuous cycle" (or vicious, depending how you view it) in which capital leverage compounds, which makes the rich to get exponentially richer (because they are already in that part of the exponential curve that "takes off" in capital returns -- at the right end) and the "poor" to stay relatively poor (they are in that part of the curve that looks like nothing happens -- at the left end).
