hi i am also gonna do a navy reserve enrolment/unit transfer what am i supposed to wear like these guys seem pretty fancy. is the dress code fancy?

It is not a requirment to dress up in formal attire. I would consider the enrolment ceremony a semi-formal or business casual event.

Hi, I am planning to apply at Canadian Armed Forces here in Regina. So basically the first thing to do before you get in to Basic Military Qualification is to do the ceremony?

First thing is online application, then: Force test, aptitude test, security clearance, medical, interview, then ceremony, and finally Basic Military Qualification.

@@PrairieSailor Actuality I got and email already about the Force etc. My question is how long is the waiting period to get in the ceremony and BMQ? I will take months of waiting ?

My best advice is to ask the Recruiters in Regina what the time frame is. The enrolment process can take an average of 3 - 6 months to complete.

The Naval Reserve offers academic reimbursement of up to $2000 per year for a maximum of $8000 for tuition. The Regular Force offers other paid education programs. Please contact your recruiter to find out more.

How many hours do you work part time

From Sep - May we work an average of one evening per week (Tues or Thurs from 7-10pm) and one Saturday per month 8am-4pm. We work additional hours for special events and training exercises.

When do they tell you on when you’re going to do your BMQ? I just had my enrollment ceremony last night.

Congratulations on your enrolment! For the Naval Reserve BMQ Mod 1 and Mod 2 are done at the home unit and usually begin shortly after enrolment. Mod 3, the residential phase in Quebec, is conducted from May - Aug each year.

Mostly Officers, how many NCMs do you recruit?

At HMCS Chippawa we hire an average of around 25 NCMs and 10 Officers per year. I'm sure this varies depending on location.
