@@notislandboi4325 no problem. I wrote this cadence in 2010 while I was in NAV-ET "A" school. I'm pretty sure the only reason I didn't fail out of the SECF program was because I was the only one with half decent tempo to call cadence.

I graduated from BESS in November 1997. I'll never forget the Pre-Trial Confinement Facility. Almost ended up there. You see, I didn't transfer directly from RTC-Great Lakes. If I had, I would have been much more disciplined. After being kicked out of Nuclear Power School after about 6 weeks, I arrived at BESS as an E-4 (big mistake, they should have busted me back to an E-1). So as NCO, I thought that the rules didn't apply to me. Took me a while to get that chip off my shoulder...

Definitely a newer video. I went to sub school and sonar A school on the same base and we never did this... when we did march is was always in much smaller groups, and we wore working blues, not camouflage. We also did not carry flags. It was 2002 - 2003 when I was in sub school / sonar A school. Only ones who wore camouflage were in ASF, which you could not take part in until after graduating BESS. Basic Enlisted Submarine School.

Much different than my time in SUBSCHOL in 1971. We marched in real Navy uniforms. Then again, as a Nuke, we didn't march anywhere. We watched Victory at Seas movies and other movies about submarines. Does the "modern" submarine school even teach the history of our heroes of WWII, or is that too sensitive for the younger generation?
@notislandboi43253 жыл бұрын
No it still does guy. Calm down us Submariners don’t associate with the sensitive part of this clueless generation. Rest ashore who ever steps foot aboard a nuclear submarine isn’t a pussy

I never marched after boot camp either in 1971. I wanted to be a Sonar Tech on subs but my older brother was teaching Sonar School in Key West as a Chief and I think that was the reason I didn’t end up there. Instead they sent me to school and made me an avionics tech on P-3s out of Maine. I grew up about 20 miles from Groton. What’s funny is about 1/3 of our A school class were Marines and they marched everywhere, had inspections before class and did PT every Saturday. Got out as an E-5 after four years.

I'm joining to earn money for a college degree! and some of them come from parents who have a hard time of supporting them! they are big now because most of them been sent to A/C school and put on holding while waiting to either class up or for there classes to form!

There are a TON of great beaches down here (I know beaches, born in Fla and lived in the Outer Banks). Jacksonville is cool, lot's of shopping and lot's of clubs. Groton got shitty after I left though, they just force retired a master chief and knocked down a chief to first class so everyone is on the freak out for rules.

I wandered about those BDU'S they wear now, I guess they need the blue camo so they can be spotted more easily if knocked overboard, or maybe they won't scare the fish. @beatngo710 The guys running around are trying to be row guards to halt traffic in some parts of the road. This march to GMT thing happens regularly. The tan uniformed guys wear those ordinarily or were just getting off a watch which requires a more "dressed-up" uniform, and are put at the back of the formation for uniformity. Personally I think they should just secure this marching balogna, but nobody pays attention to my opinion anyway.
