Navara D40 Duplex timing Chain conversion Part 2 (Assembly)

Hello Guys,
in this episode I'm working on my Navara D40 where I started to install the new yd25 duplex timing kit on the engine. With this upgrade I intend to protect the engine for the well known issue on the standard single row chain that the D40's face.

Hi i we skimmed the head cylinder and timing was lost.do i have to do bottom chain timing or just top one.if fuel pump is locked does it meam its tdc

Excellent video thank you. I am wondering as your navara is a d40 do you know if it will be the same as d22 as you did not take Engine out. I have been told that to do the duplex Chain conversion the engine has to come out. Any advice greatly appreciated. Again, well done on an excellent tutorial.

Thank you so much. I’m not sure, but seems that the d22 already has duplex? And i guess is the same process unless there’s something in the way to remove the front covers that need the engine to come out

hi frank, could kindly post turning video after installing all chains as I have timing issues?? also upper timing chain looks loos fit, is it ok now? please update current performance of car!! regards

HI John, This is the best thing you can do on these cars. ONly had a turbo issue after the upgrade and so far no issues with the chain whatsoever. Sold the car to a buddy and since then no issues

My biggest challenge with this video is trying to visualize the engine due to the unnatural orientation. I kept bending my head to the right to see thing correctly. I wish you had maintained the normal, with the top being at the top. the video is however well done and helpful.

Yes now is gone. The engine works very smoothly now

@@frankcumaio8328 my motor engine was rebuilt, new oil pump and new timing chain, but later i discovered the engine oil is low quality, so now the engine make a horrible noise for 3 sec, and de chain near cranckshaft make noise too until high temp, after that smoothly too

@@TheMrthiagox I think you should check your tensioners i guess the chain is scraping the guides. Does the oil light takes a long to go off in cold starts?

@@frankcumaio8328 only 3 and the goes off, but i will upgrade the timing chain and i will put a new oil pump oem and a timing chain duplex
