Utopia gave everyone that's actually creative hope to be creatives again and still feel you can make it. We no longer we have to feel we need to be cookie cutter to have a fighting chance any more.

I recommend all of you go listen to Scaring The Hoes from JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown because after listening to that, I can’t help but feel like Utopia isn’t as creative as people hype it up to be. You will never hear another song like Steppa Pig or Garbage Pale Kids.

It’s insane that this album is primarily based off older samples cause it sounds like a lot of the samples were created from scratch recently because of how modern it sounds in todays music.

I love the way you explain the tricks used in drum parts! Coming up with an original drum pattern that also works well in the context of the song is legit one of the hardest things to do, but also one of those things that make the song immediately stand out (which is the case with most songs on Utopia). I'd definitely love to see more of that!

i won’t lie, i’m not usually a big fan of your content, but this video was a gem. you have great knowledge as always i just tend to find the videos very vanilla, which is fine, and a bit repetitive. but EVERYONES been shouting out and taking sponsors from paid stem separators and the first thing you say is a free one that sounded great in the example, much love for that. i feel like you pushed yourself outside your box with this one and would love to see more of this caliber because i think it’s great.in the future try to reiterate on topics and concepts seen in old videos less and you’re already very quirky but try to be more weird, i think more personality would be endearing. anyway much love and if you see this comment know it’s all because i think you’re a great teacher and i state my criticism only hoping to see improvement❤️

That sample reconstruction technique as you showcase it, may be new, but it's roots lie in remixing or seperating a sample into layers. That's something I hope everybody who watches these types of vids always keeps in mind, never discard "old techniques" because there may come a point in time where you can reapply them with new tools to create something innovative. That's why I like when some of your videos show off old-school techniques, because I feel like a lot of newer producers lack the connection to those.
