Black Rock guy eyeing Pension Funds for investment purposes, for a comfortable retirement? That sounds scammy. They're doing the same in the UK, looking at Pension Funds and trying to invest it in "riskier assets" for supposed better returns. Spoiler alert: Rug pull coming up.

It is truly concerning the way they talk about people having to lose their jobs frequently and having to retrain over and over again throughout their lives. All of this is to say that they are putting profits above people, competition above cooperation. I don't believe that is sustainable, for the planet or for humanity. I don't think anything they're saying is particularly intelligent as a result. They're basically just experts in a very narrow field of human endeavor. Truly intelligent people would be trying to figure out how do we keep moving forward with technology and change, while preserving the value of humanity for humanity's sake. That's the big question. These little cute days are trivial matters in a very narrow scope of ideas.

Technology is generally not a solution to skills shortages. Technology adds productivity but it usually requires even greater skills to use it effectively. Think one robotics technician and a team of robots replacing a group of assembly line workers. If Honeywell is worried about training new workers after a layoff then their leaders may want to show some actual foresight and not lay off so many people to begin with.

Socialize losses. Privatise gains = the global issue. Stephen Hawkings stated how capitalism only works if its access wealth has righteous distribution. Wealth accumulates from the bottom & trickles upward, always has. Where's the trickle-down effect? A.I should start here. Private sector can only do so much. Yet, combined w/ each state having their own "Alaska-Fund" according to each (states) budget can do wonders

Но это произойдет только в том случае, если американская политическая система на это будет способна. Пока что весь рост прлизводительности с внедрением ИТ ведется в ущерб среднему классу. И вместо необходимых изменений в экономической политике увеличивается лишь процент населения, голосующих за правых и левых популистов. Есть другие плохие примеры влияния быстрого роста производительности труда. Мы в СССР недооценили влияние дисбаланса рабочей силы (при смене плановой экономики на рыночную). И ... в результате мы получили структурную безработицу в 1/2 - 2/3 от общей рабочей силы, отбросив общества 12 из 15 республик (кроме 3, вошедших в Евросоюз) назад, в 19 век.

Hi,I am sure Laurence does not care what I think about His ideas on carbon capture, public private partnership, and other great things that help Blackrock bottom line. Personally I think his ideas, suck and are of course more of the same. Larry and the rest of these guys need to find some real visionary people. I believe our economic system needs more even distribution of resources or we will be on fire before even Climate change does us in!!! Hopefully we decided to go another way."let's get some new ideas"peaceful,ideas peaceful, kind,equal. Ideas for a real good future for all.thanks enjoyed listening
