A Cirrius bromance :) 'towers' of the future should be camera towers. No need to have an elevated office if sensor vision affords a much better view. You can choose where you want to see things from, you can have potent telescopes, thermal to see through mist or even synthetic aperture radar vision to see through smoke, cloud and everything. And of course ATC should be computerized so it's only human supervision that may not even be at the airport. One person can supervise 15 airports.

XM doesn’t cover past 50 miles offshore, after that it’s all you, which is fine, the weather is not as unpredictable as the mainland US. Other tips? If you have a question for ATC or immigration just ask politely and they’ll help. Have fun

I'm afraid Cirrus is a little too busy trying to figure out why their jets are falling out of the sky under parachutes a lot lately to get on that bag door annunciator light right now... We just had one go down near me in Indianapolis... Fortunately they had the parachute to deploy for what local press calls an engine failure.

G, day from Sydney Australia. Seeing the true radar image/any PIREP reports of icing? At 33.8 °f (1°c) and at 14000' is icing likely: the cloud gap will reduce risk. Alternatively loose altitude if possible and increase outside air temperature if terrain and airspace zones permit? 🌟 🌲
