+GingerSailor Hello sir, just wanted to start by saying great information. My question is, if you were to wake up earlier than 0600 can you make your rack and get dressed when you wake up? Or do you have to wait?
@GingerSailor9 жыл бұрын
+Austin Kirchner that is a yes, but there are some limitations. Our RDCs would get mad if more than 7 people were out of their racks before they woke everyone up. I've heard of other RDCs letting far more out, but ours did not. So you will have to feel your way through how you do it. I would just wake up at some point, an hr or so before wake up ad shave and brush my teeth then lay back down and wait for reveille. That alone saved me 5-7 minutes. On top of that, I would shove a roll of socks in the corners of my rack to keep the bottom sheet from coming loos and sleep on top of my sheets while leaving the blanket folded the way its supposed to be. That saved me another 5-7 minutes on wake up. Then all I would have to do is tighten the sheets a little, put my socks back, fix my pillow (takes like 20 seconds tops) and put on whatever uniform is necessary. That only took me five minutes total most of the time.

just a random question, is it allowed to use the bathroom at any time of the day or night? or there would be a given specific time where all recruits may only use the restroom?

this is an off the wall question kinda. I don't get my license until next march but the job I want I have to have my license I enlist monday. I turn 17 tomorrow. but my recruiter say I can change my job in the delayed enter program I want to know if that's true if it will be hard or what
@GingerSailor8 жыл бұрын
You CAN change your rate while in the delayed entry program but it does depend on how long you are in it. I was in there for 2 months and was given an option. Some are in there for a month or less and can't. Most people are in DEP for more than 3 motnhs though so you should have plenty of opportunites as long as you scored decently high on the ASVAB

I'll be in the delayed enter for close to a year

I ship out in 2 weeks, I've been in DEP since July 1st, 2015. I was suppose to ship back on July 19th, 2016, but I ended up losing my contract because they cut it (I was going to be and AT). If you want to change your job during DEP you need to keep on your Petty Officer or Chief, even the lead petty officer of your office. If you are very desperate for a new job persistence is key. After i lost my job my petty officer gave me a ship date for April of 2017, so i was not cool with that, it took me a while to get a new ship date and job but with enough persistence i was able to get a new ship date for December 1st. Just don't give up no matter what gets in your way.

@GingerSailor8 жыл бұрын
+Sean Keenan if you end up signing up for a special operations job, you will be forced to do extra in boot camp. you will be part of a division that will be put through harder and more frequent workouts

Do they assign you or does someone have to volunteer for the leadership roles?
@GingerSailor9 жыл бұрын
+Veronica Urena a bit of both. For the RPOC they usually just pick someone that stands out in some way, whether it be that he/she is the tallest or the shortest. But generally you can volunteer for all positions. You can actually try and compete for the ones you don't get if you tell the RDC's that you can do a better job.

What score do you need on the asvab to get a good or great rate/ job career
@henrybrown33597 жыл бұрын
Julian Ramos aim for above a 70. I scored a 74 without studying and I signed for the AECF program. If I had studied, I might have managed an 80. Anyways, the jobs available to you are also determined by your line scores, which are your scores in specific areas of the test added together, but anything above a 70 is fairly desirable by the military
@carolezehner16599 жыл бұрын
if you stay low can you not get a leadership role in boot camp? or do they pick randomly? i mean i know everyone has to do watch.
@awesoman099 жыл бұрын
+Carole Zehner Not really. Unless your RDCs like you. Best leadership roles are LPO, DCPO. The only positions that get promoted are RPOC, Yeoman, and maybe STBD watch.
@Olivia_Hye9 жыл бұрын
+awesoman09 they can promote 10% of the division so they usually do people in leadership roles. even head PO
@awesoman099 жыл бұрын
Right. We'll in my division a stick got promoted. Sooo yeah. As long as they like you.
