As a teacher, i really respect that Naysha told on that coach that didn’t help the bullying. It’s terrible that it only made the bullying worse but it takes a lot for a kid to try to stand up for themselves and to do that against an adult is even harder.
@ptboy184 ай бұрын
Yeah a lot of queer and bullied kids find out REAL fast that not every adult is a mature adult willing to do the right thing. Makes sense now when you look around and you have adults murdering robbing starting wars domestic violence cheating etc etc.

I love how at 19:19 Maddy quotes Aja saying "It's OK to be trans" at her because I think about that statement ALL time lmao
@armahfrancisoko51424 ай бұрын
Naysha is a classic example of why you shouldn't judge a Queen by their appearance/track record on DragRace. Her Roscoes gig alone reveals so much more layers about her Character and her person. And I love that. I'm an ardent viewer of Roscoes Viewing Party on KZbin and on Twitter, every Saturday morning as I do the laundry and it always feel like a good time with the girls! I love you Naysha!
@Grova4 ай бұрын
I saw her do a number at Roscoe’s this summer and this bitch turned it the fuck *out*. It cemented my belief that being good at drag race and being good at drag are two entirely separate skillsets
@fightvale574 ай бұрын
This is an interesting take.Because I actually find her quite unpleasant in the roscoe's viewing parties. She seems bitter and shady and makes Is a lot of excuses for things.
@armahfrancisoko51424 ай бұрын
@@fightvale57 @fightvale57 you aren't alone and I read that too on the roscoes comments but quite the opposite I LOVE her! She already has a great rapport with the Queens, knows how to tease them to spill tea usually they wouldnt spill, has a creative way to go around NDAs, and good at playful banter and shade! She has a way of checking the audience when they over step their boundaries and brings the girls back on track when the chat goes offtrack or when she senses it going the other way. All these are sides of her that was not shown on the show and since many viewers tend to judge queens based on their track record unconsciously, even if she's doing twice as good, folks don't see it. One time she wasn't at the Roscoes gig when plasma was the guest, the difference was so clear!
@badmanicpower4 ай бұрын
@@fightvale57if she wasn’t that way, everyone would say the viewing parties are boring. she isn’t bitter, she just isn’t afraid to call things out. ppl attend and watch Roscoe’s for the behind the scenes tea, and Naysha is why/how that comes out.
@jasonmartin12672 ай бұрын
I couldn’t disagree more. She is a talented queen when it comes to putting together a package but i think the reason her drag race career didn’t go as far is bcuz her personality is not huge & doesn’t translate well. Idk if she’s a good or bad person. I will say that I miss T-Rex hosting. She built Roscoe’s viewing parties from the ground up & bcuz she wasn’t a contestant on the show & happened to have white skin, public opinion pushed her out. I agree a contestant has more perspective & that’s why a former Is always the guest along with a current contestant while it’s airing. I feel like the host not being a contestant made it a little less biased. Nayasha has to consider severing her relationship with wow if she oversteps & I’m sure that’s a lot to juggle. She has always seemed like a kind person when I’ve met her in person but I don’t know her so again this is not me saying she’s undeserving or a bad person. I just hate the way she came to become the host. It’s like she didn’t get a fair chance bcuz ppl were either super happy bcuz a queen of color from the show had the job or they were mad t-Rex was gone. She didn’t get a fair chance.

I try not to judge queens based on their Drag Race run, since that's an environment crafted specifically to create television and nothing more, but it's hard to keep up with every single one to get to know them better, so listening to them and their stories in this format is great, and so needed. It has made me care for queens I didn't know much about, and like ones I wasn't completely sold on. Plus, Maddy's research is insane. I really love this show.

For Naysha, I do think for TV people want the dysfunctional, the mean, the under dog. So when you see someone so great at drag that is pretty who understands and values themselves accordingly, people think this is boring. That is such a backward and sad thing.

What about Sasha Colby? I think unfortunately they didn’t use any interesting or good footage of Nayasha on the shows. I didn’t know about her accolades before the show, and the edit they gave her made her unlikeable to me.
@McWolfTxАй бұрын
@@netty5170 she is trans so she gets a pass. All the queens have value based on race, disability, niche, or whatever. Well on drag race anyway. Like how the queens winning all stars were white and people complained so they had miz cracker lose even though shea wasnt better than her, then they made trinity share with monet even though she was the clear winner. Drag race knows the fan wants toxic representation. Meaning it doesnt matter about talent, she needs to be fat or black or trans. Which is dumb. But if sasha colby has been male she wouldve went home early too.
