Well I didn't waste my money - I got the Quest 3 when right after it came out. Quest 2 was not powerful enough and there was no indication at that time that a Quest 3S was even going to be made. I am happy with the Quest 3 and will continue to stay with it for gaming.

Tbf, even if the 3S came out at the same time as the 3, I still would've gone for the 3 anyways. The pancake lens and wider FOV alone is a huge gamechanger

I think the bigger sweet spot on the Quest 3 and the adjustable IPD are such big improvements for people having issues with the sharpeness/clarity on their Quest 2, that I advise people who do have these issue to invest in the Quest 3. If the Quest 2 works fine then the Quest 3S is a great option if you really want to be able to also use mixed reality and play all the newest games. I friend of mine was always complaining about the Quest 2 being blury and since he bought the Quest 3 he is so much happier and the image is now crisp for him. Just having better adjustable IPD on the Quest 3S would have made it a real great device.

Great vid, as always! After recently trying both the Q3 and Q3s, I can confidently say that I agree with all your points EXCEPT comfort. After using the Q2 for over a year, I immediately felt the weight difference. Even though the Q3 is only a couple grams heavier, it made a difference. the Q3s doesn't get points there because its about the same weight as the Q3. Also, (unpopular opinion), I thought the Q2 and Q3s were more comfortable then the Q3. The facial interface felt better for me on the Q2 then the Q3 or Q3s. same with the headstrap. I have also never bought a replacement headstrap, and thought the default headstrap works fine if you adjust it correctly. It could also be because I am more used to the Q2, so time will tell. Quest 2 and 3 dont have passthrough button, but they still have the passthrough tap. Double tap on the right side of the headset to jump into passthrough mode.

I do like they shaved off the unnecessary white edges near the lenses on the 3S compared to Quest 2. I made my own Quest 3 straps and just changing the top strap to be horizontal like how headphones rest on your head makes a big difference in comfort!

for me, the proximity sensor was always an issue, it led to my headset being broken for over a month. glad to see the proximity sensor going away

I thought the Oculus Quest 3 on Gamestop at noon on October 21, 2024, but I haven't opened it yet bc I need the cover case and I like the head strap yeah it's cool I might get it too also the lens protector for glasses yes from Amazon the Quest 3 looks neat more that why I get it the guy do a video of it Quest 2 vs Quest 3s vs Quest 3 which lenses has the most neater.

I personally plan on getting the quest 3 instead of the quest 3s the upgrades it offers to me is worth the price I had a quest 2 and I don’t care about the color pass through really just the pancake lenses the main gripe I had with my quest 2 was trying to just look somewhere with my eyes and it being so blurry and almost unreadable and I would do it constantly it was just too annoying to deal with also even though I never really had a problem with it the new ipd adjustment would be nice but again I never really had a problem with it on the quest 2 really the only problem I had was with the lenses other than that the quest 2 was fine with the better lenses of the quest 3 I’m sure at least for me it’ll be perfect I do wish that meta would have chosen the pancake lenses to be their main feature instead of color pass through like it’s nice sure but to me it is just a gimmick I would rather have pancake lenses on the 3s than color pass through

I really dont like the 3 or 3s controllers , they loose tracking always when im playing gtag , but the quest 2 controllers are very good. I wish i can connect them to my quest 3s

I got the Quest 3 and 3s for the misses. The lens difference is clearly noticeable. She's going to be a casual user, so that will be fine for her, but as a demanding user, 3 is the way to go. You can base your judgment on whether image quality and readability are your main concerns. If they are, get a Quest 3, save up and sell Granny. If you're dipping in and out, 3s will be fine.

Quest 3S has no proximity sensor? That's a plus for me. Proximity sensor is so annoying sometimes, especially when I want to move the headset outside VR, connected to PCVR game.

I'd honestly say don't. The experience of being able to look around is nice, but if you have good resolution monitors, it's a little weird to see the pixels a but more. You do you and if you have any questions I'm happy to answer. I have a quest 2 and a quest 3 (I bought both).

@@TheJGamerGuy Same here, Got the Q2 and Q3 and hands down the Q3 is bad ass compared to the Q2 is AMS 2, The Q3 lenses and the 4k and being inside the car is far better than any screen, Being inside the car, Leaning and looking into corners I have become faster using the Q3 than I was when I was using the Q2, Oddly enough, But being able to see the corner in all it's glory cannot be beaten, VR and sim racing isn't going anywhere, I do sim racing online in AMS 2 every night, And night after night I am seeing more and more VR users, I ask out of nosiness, lol, And most say they got a Q3 or a Pimax Crystal lite, But for me since I been sim racing in VR, My driving have improved no ends, I no longer even spin cars out when in VR, But yeah the Q3 and AMS 2 is sim racing heaven, lol.....

Is the IPD setting worst on the 3s than on the 1? If I get it right, it has only 3 possible values, and from what I remember, the quest 1 has more than that I want to upgrade, but that's really what's keeping me from buying the 3s right now (I don't have the money for the 3 atm ^^)

It's worse, yes. The 1 and 3 have fine adjustment, whereas the 2 and 3S only have three fixed presets.

I have a quest 2 headset and wanted to know if the quest 3s is worth it with people posting online with videos about the quest 3 but they compare the quest 3 to quest 3s why are there no videos on quest 2 too quest 3s I also have a psvr and by far I love that headset to play scary games like (resident evil 7) or watching a scary movie believe me the psvr for watching movies is better than using the quest 2 in my opinion because of the battery life. But playing games on quest 2 you don't have to use the crappy ball wands for psvr games that I want to play plus on quest 2 you can map out your room and it is wireless. If you can tell me if it is worth the money to get it now or wait because I will have the money for quest 3s but not quest 3 because of the price also, is it good for recording video for your channel or live streaming, please let me know you have a fantastic day!!!

I am saying do not buy the Quest 3/Quest 3s? Got my Quest 3s on the Oct. 22, 2024. Went to pair the Quest 3s and my META account says that email and password do not match. So did a reset of the password. Even got an email confirmation that the password was reset. Tried again with new password, still says email address and password not accepted. So, got on a chat with one of the support members on Oct. 23 at META. So, the tech informed me that the previous headset the quest 2 has to be reset to factory setting before I could pair my quest 3s and that this was the problem. So, with the help from the tech, we reset the Quest 2 back to factory settings. But my main question is why is it, if this is such an important factor then why is it not mention in the Quest 3s setup instructions? Well, the quest 2 was working fine. Until the tech instructed me to do a factory reset. Now it is not paired and does not work anymore. Well, when we tried to get quest 3s paired to the account got the same message. Email and password do not match. So was instruct by the tech to do new password reset. So did get an email confirmation of the password change. But still get the same error message about the password. So, then the tech sent it up to their special teams. Well got and email saying that to wait 2-24 hours, and then try to reset the password again. Well, here it is OCT. 24. So went to do a password reset. Got a confirmation email that the password had been reset. So went to long on and guess what got the same massage about the email and password do not match. So tried again thinking maybe I enter it wrong, no got the same error message. So started chatting with a tech again today and was informed that the tech would send this off to his special team. Got this email from the special team this afternoon Meta Store Support From: [e-mail] To: [e-mail] Thu, Oct 24 at 2:45 PM Your request, case #07468085 has been solved. To reopen this request, reply to this email. Well, it has not been fixed. Was informed by a META tech that it was being sent to a special team again and to wait another 24 hours for another email. So, see 3 days and still no quest3s, and now I cannot even connect with Quest 2 thanks to the META Tech. So, then was instructed to wait for the emails from the special teams! Like the email that I received the day before and this one I received today? Oct. 25, 2024, so looks like 4 days now! Hopefully this is not going to be the same special team! We have already seen what their accomplishment are. So, thanks to META tech support now the Quest 2 is useless! Now I have over a thousand dollars into META Headsets, accessories, and games that I have bought from the META store. And it all is useless, just Junk right now!

Out of all the VR head sets out there.. don't you ever wonder WHY are these guys HOOKED on only trying to sell Meta Quest? I give two.. one reviewer of the new Pico 4 ultra said it will cost about a 1/2 a grand! Wow right? Then you think.. wait.. Ques 3 was what $650? Today its $499? OMG that's a 1/2 a grand. Then you have those trying to sell the Quest 3s over the Quest 2. They said "I don't know why but the lenses in the Quest 3s just seem allot better then the Quest 2". Do some research on that haha. Then they don't tell you about the Quest 3 refurbished. Yeah you can get a 128gb Quest 3 for $379 from Meta and it comes with a 1 year warranty. Or the 512 for $449. But they do not tell you that at all. I watched so many yet how did I find out? NEWEGG. So buy a Quest 3s same lenses as the quest 2 for $299 its the 128gb version or by a refurbished Quest 3 128 for $379 and 1y warranty Oh .. I have no AFFILIATES links for you.. I am not here to make any money off anyone. If you like PC VR.. where you use UEVR VORPX STEAM.. keep looking.
