While weaving in those pesky ends are time consuming, the finished project looking so neat and pretty makes it all worth the effort.

Great tips! Thank you so much for sharing. I wish that I had known these methods two years ago when I made the Persian Tiles blanket - there were about 800 ends or more which I had to weave in at the end of the project! However, I can see that I somehow managed to pick up some of these methods along the way and I'm quite pleased with the result 😉

Hi! Amazing video, do you have a preference or a best way to weave in the ends for clothing?? Also in wondering if tying the 2 ends together and then weaving when working with different colors will affect the stretchiness of the garment. Ugh!
@naztazia
@naztazia 3 ай бұрын
Clothing is difficult because as you stated you don't want to affect the drape and stretchiness of the garment, plus no one wants a big knot against their skin. On the other hand, clothing goes through a lot, between wearing and washing, so ends have to be extra secure. My current philosophy on how to handle clothing is to try and weave in the ends back and forth when possible, and right on the trimmed end, use a small dot, strategically placed inside of a stitch where the person wouldn't notice it of Aleene's Quick Dry Fabric Fusion fabric glue. After drying, it's clear, flexible, and the item can be machine washed and dried. Most of my clothing items have been holding up nicely with that method.

@naztazia i love that idea. I typically weave for 5-6 stitches then loop through the previous to it is a kind of not then repeat once or twice more. I will try the super glue for extra hold bc i would like to be able to my crochet stuff in the wash on delicate someday 🙃 😊

To make something that exists wider, the easiest thing to do is add a very thick border around it.

I find it very difficult to get the woven in ends to stay woven in silky yarns. I've tried knots and also weaved in both directions. My solution was to stop using silky yarns 😂 Do you have a better idea, Donna?
@naztazia
@naztazia 2 жыл бұрын
Well, they can be challenging. Sometimes I cut silky yarn like 6 inches from the work then split the silky yarn twists apart. I'll weave in two of the thin strands a bit then tie and knot them together tightly, then weave the remainder in. Then weave in the next two and tie and knot. Other than that I use a product called Fray Chek, which is kind of like a super glue for fabric (can be used on yarn). They make one that's flexible, so if it's for a hat or scarf, it won't leave a tough rough spot.

I've tried all.and never works ,those pesky.ends still.weaving back out me. Here is what I do now. Weave ends in ,toothpick and ez6000. Put some ez6000 on toothpick ,not a bunch ,and I make sure I'm in middle of a stitch not in between two stitches . Fab glue on lose end AND on the thread of stitch ( on inside so not seen ) then glue together .Not pressing to firmly so its not hard and flat .Spread out and let dry completely . Since I don't dry my crochet ,never have a problem with melting and coming undone. No more lose ends popping up over time .
