You pretty much need to have the player indicator on the whole time because if you try and angle to analog stick towards to player you want to pass to, 90% of the time it'll pass to the wrong player, either hes guarded or they'll pass to a player whose not expecting it and the ball just flies over their heads out of bounds. 7. Mentioned in this video, forced backcourt violations, player in dribbling backwards even though you have the analog stick in the opposite direction.

@lolxjks The animations ( If that's what you want to call it) is not the only thing realistic about the game. The movements and style of each player, the dunks, dribbling, crossovers, layups, announcers, the crowd, foul shot's, I can go on and on but say what you want but hands down it's the best basketball game out there and probably ever.

@Wadepark98 You can get a goaltend if the ball is ruled to be within the cylinders. Your player dribbles to avoid getting stolen. You don't have to set a complete charge stance to get a call in real life. I've never had shaq hit 15 in the game. You can go straight up and lay it in when you're in the paint. Getting hacked while going up do get called.

I was showing some interest in Live but then I heard that the stats were off after reading a thread on OperationSports. Lebron averaging 21 ppg, 31 mpg? Deron Williams the league's leading scorer while only averaging 3 apg? Those among other grievances with the Dynasty mode have completely broken the deal for me...

Same here. Don't know which one to buy, but this year I think I'm going with 2K10. NBA Live 10 changed their game controls so it's exactly like 2k10 so, since they want to do that... I'll just buy 2K10 since I'll be getting the same but hopefully better graphics

i think graphic wise, 2k has it down pat. but for the next game i think they need to focus on heaps more variety with their commentary lines. and also obviously the tweaking of the various modes.

I got this game yesterday.. the presentation is unbeleivable but yeah the framerate is a bit annoying sometimes and im on ps3 so i dont know what is like on 360. I do however hear they are working on several fixes for an upcoming update that will aim to reduce or fix the framerat issues, remove annoying ingame popups that dont go away, fix some AI issues and look to improve the system of myplayer that sometimes doesnt recognise that a player is actually doing good.

i played both demos before they were out and it was really 50/50. as im new to bball games sinze the mid-90s i got live as the 2k10 kontrols were very hard to get into. ive been playing live and altho i love the smoothness of it and the online team play that is great in some games ive played, i kinda want to get 2k10 now as the graphix are miles ahead and the "feel" of the game seems more realistik. it'll take time to learn the kontrols but it with be more gratifying when i get to grips with it

DAMN I really dont know which one to get I mean NBA Live got a 8.2 and im a loyal Live fan but I have always liked the presentation of 2k it seems like your watching a real game on tv but to me Live's graphics are better and the players look exactly like they do in real life I dont think it looks plastic and the players dont look so good in 2k(my opinion) but I might end up getting both like I did last year

This has nothing to do with the actual game play but I would like to see them portray the crowd more authentically. Example I live in Phoenix and am a suns fan but when I go to a Suns Lakers Game about 1/3 the crowd is a Lakers fan I think that would be cool to add something similar to that

this year, 2K10 was ok , i like most about everying. the thing i did not want to change was the height when you make a player. in 2k10 the max height is 7'6 Feet. but in 2K9 the height was 7'11Feet. I just hope 2k adds the height like last time.

This year, in my opinion, Live has improved BIG time, I'd give them that, but to me, 2k10 is a bit more realistic gameplay wise. I love all the features and neat things you can do on Live, but from playing Live 09, it was ridiculous from the shots players could make. I enjoy missing some like in real life.

Enough with the arguing over 2k and Live. Honestly, this is the first time in years we get a chance at two great Basketball games as opposed to just one. I have to give it up to Live, they really made big improvements, wouldn't be surprised if next year Live passes 2k in ratings. For now tough, I'm going to stick with 2k but I will be trying Live out.

You only have to play like 4 D-League games though. I shot the ball terribly in the D-League for 4-5 games, got called up to Charlotte and dropped 24 on 10-17 in my first game.... Now Im averaging 30 ppg, 9 apg, and 4 spg.

I play on PC, but I use the Xbox Controller. LT + A, you need to time it right so your teammate can catch the ball. Take a look at my video, there you'll see 2 good Alley Oops.

For those of you who want this on PC! this game is great. using my logitech controller is simple and My Player Mode is great when you get the hang of it. First five hours took me sometime to figure it out, but after that, ya get the hang of it (never had a basketball game before) My player is now starting for the cavs in place of anthony parker, so luck that im not against lebron.

Its designed like that. for example, In NBA 2k9. If ur overalls 91, ur overall will be 81 in NBA 2K10. Kinda like Madden 10s overalls compared to Madden 09's.

Gotta disagree, I loved 2K12 but there were so many issues with the gameplay. First of all the passing was just awful. Team A.I was pretty bad sometimes too, big men often hang out at the 3, while 3 point shooters cut right into defenders when you start passing. The greatest teams mode was pretty sweet and a great selection, but I wish it wasn't just a simple game. Also it was way to easy to intercept passes and cause turnovers in the key. I feel 2K13 was a large improvement with the dribbling.

damn 2k has so much more pressure than nba live. Live gets credit for going back to the basics but 2k gets hammered for some issues in my player mode

I got one problem. I play for Hawks on Superstar difficult. I cant score 3 pointers. Johnson, Bibby are wide open but they cant score for 3 points. I played 23 matches and scored just 2 3pointers. Id ont understand wheres problem.

yes i said it live 10 has a much more realistic gameplay i can't count up all the times that i see the ball going right through people on 2k10. There are wayy too many glitches in this game. you will find many players double dribbling and traveling in this game. I like how the play calling works but i don't use it anymore. If your wondering why it's because it drains the shot clock. you can't even run a few sets before violating the 24 second shot clock rule.

Don't bother upgrading rebounds. In 2k10 if 2 players are trying to get a rebound, with one having 99 rebounding and the other, 99 vertical, the one with the 99 vertical will get the rebound. The box Out move never works. The patch for 2k10 didn't fisk sht in my opinion. 2k10 is a great game but it doesn't deserve much hype as people give it. This year Nba 2k10 and Nba Live 10 are tied. And before anyone starts insulting me for my comments know this. I have both games and like Both. But both
