Bro, I have NBA 2k25 and this is the first 2k game that I'm seriously considering deleting from my PS5 library. The game is so broken it's more frustrating than fun. I'm currently playing mynba mode season with the Lakers and the things the game does to manipulate the outcome of the games have become blatantly obvious here that it is shocking to me they don't have any fixes to this game yet. I recently stopped playing this game when I was playing a season game with the Lakers against the Cavs and it was the 4th quarter with 15 seconds left on the game, I was in bounding the ball to Lebron I had a clear path to the basket, but as I drove the ball to the basket the game by itself made the quick substitute window pop up so I couldn't move my player. My player just stood there until I got a shot clock violation because the pop-up window wouldn't want to clear itself. It wasn't until the CPU team got the ball back that the little window disappeared. It's like the game did its own version of when somebody turns off your controller just so you can lose. I've never had that happen where the game literally does something that blatant just to make you lose. I miss NBA live, I just miss when the games were more about skill and not these cheating tactics the CPU uses to win games. What's worse is that every game I played in the season on 2K25 always had to have the CPU doing something to manipulate whether you win or lost. It was rare to get a game where it felt like you earned the win without having to resort to cheese moves just to win.

And yea this game and what you said about is literally the problem. The only thing I would add to that is the uselessness of these new animations. These thousands of animations they added are not the actual player animations that can be bought. It’s what they did to the movement. The game is completely cooked on every level and metric. I’m a guard in rec randoms and I’m telling you it’s be testing my patience. I think that’s prolly a good thing tho.

I also don’t understand why they are adding a lot of the things they are adding. I see people saying things like “you ask 2k to add things and change the game and then you complain, all you do is complain.” Bro NOBODY asked for any of the new mechanics they have added to the game. I’m so tired of being called ass over random things that this game will do that are completely out of control. One big thing I have noticed is the amount of times the game will cancel your driving dunk regardless of rating and badges when your defender is trailing you. I get there are no more quick drops but dude there is no way I should be getting out into a layup when I’m clear in front of my trailing defender. That shit needs to be a a dunk every single time. It’s one thing when they are on your hip but bro just throwing you into an animation is wild. What 2k has ever done this, who thinks implementing the things they have was a good idea??? I have seen why people call the game garbage every year but the game was still playable and had a good understandable and comprehensible skill gap and you could still be comp with a a good team or if you were really trying as a rec random guard you could still at least be in the 70+ win percent range playing with randoms. Any 2k I have ever played before this that I ever called trash I take it back bro this game is so fried🥴.

BINGO, somebody with sense and what's crazy is that, you should deserve way more subs. Because it be the ones with alot of subs and don't know wth they be talkin bout. When you said "Play Now". I kept tellin people to hop off from online for once and play Play Now on Hall Of Fame. And you'll find damn near all the issues within the game. But naw, people think im crazy for saying play offline in Play Now. Just like you said, a great defender like Bam Adebayo won't even be effective defensively smh.. The problem is, it's so many people that constantly just hops into online MyCareer, not seeing the flaws in the game like that. Because it's all users online. And some users pick certain jumpshot and base. Which means that, jumpshots and base are a lil more consistent than other jumpshots and base that others use. Which is why some people are complaining about shooting, because the jumpshots they picked are broken. All people gotta do is, go play offline and go play CPU on Hall Of Fame in Play Now and they'll see for theirselves.

@@ayodione Mf got Jalen Duren, who is HIGHLY a good rim protector. Meanwhile he is a ghost to bigs in the paint smfh. Kristaps can just zoom right through Duren whenever the h*** he wants and score effortlessly in the paint. Im talkin ball and Duren's hand go through each other. Porzingis go through bodies smfh. And people have nerve to say this game is good... How tf man. How can you even say it's good, with bs like that is in the game. The movement alone in 2K25 is HORRIBLE and what makes it sad, is that 2K always have NO problems with movement in gameplay. But now all of a sudden, it's HORRIBLE in 2K25. It's like the game is reaching close to it's last straw smh. Damn players are moving loops, like a half circle. The damn lane be clear and the ball handler rather drive out wide, rather than drive straight to the basket. The s*** just stupid smh. You got, got damn foreigners that don't know s*** about basketball, let alone, the fundamentals of basketball.

I am really enjoying the game this year. I do think both passing and lane steals need to be looked at though. Shooting I have mostly figured out in the past week. It is really about getting a jumpshot that has a good visual cue because timing can change to it make it harder to cheat. I use both rhythm and button shooting depending on the shot I'm taking. One of my centers has 80 middy and 76 3 pt and I'm shooting about 40% from 3 now which isn't great but it is enough to force the other center to come out of the paint. Also I'm shooting better on my bigs than on my guards with lower ratings. I think it is because with longer arms the shooting animations are more pronounced so its easier for me to spot the visual cue for my jumpshot. The interior defense auto jumps are annoying but the last couple years of a 6'4 guard with low interior d getting good shot contests on a 7 footer with 90+ close shot was way worse. It also meant on a big you only raised interior d to whatever you needed to unlock intimidator badge. My first build I made this year was q center with 77 interior d so I can get gold paint patroller and he gets abused by people with high interior finishing. Which was annoying at first but it is a good change. My second center I went with 88 interior d and get much better contests and stops in the paint.

My favorite thing to do in 2k is dribbling they ruin it they made dribbling for old heads this year for sure slow and clunk it’s horrible like left stick dribbling is actually good this year 🤦‍♂️

Whoever says this game has a skill gap needs to have a mental evaluation bro and I’m not even kidding. If you think this 2k added any type of skill gap then you don’t understand what skill has been on any 2k. People say “just adapt, learn the skill gap lil bro, you’re trash because you don’t understand the shooting skill gap.” I have one question for anybody that says there is a skill gap in shooting, in what way does a shooting algorithm that changes your shot timing randomly paired with thousands of new player movements catch and shooting hitches and animations create a skill gap????? There is literally no skill gap in this game, the game rewards players for doing things wrong, literally. I promise to anyone who plays this game for multiple hours if you continue to play this game you will not find it to get easier you will literally just be questioning why the game is so terrible.😂😂 in what 2k has a player that is good with a 99 three ball, max lethal zones, max badges, and shooting boasts not been able to hit 60 percent of the open threes he shoots???? I’m sorry bro but I have never played a 2k that is this bad and if the patch doesn’t fix more than a few aspects of this game this game could go down as the worst 2k ever created but I’m giving them grace until they at least attempt to fix the game. If they don’t then I will never play this 2k and care about anything competitive related when the game is so damn randomized in every single way on offense and defense. I will just play it to play and try to find the good in it even though it is that awful. I don’t care what these content creators say (more specifically the park content creators, the 5s is a little bit more bearable than 3s and 2s but is still cooked) this game is completely awful and they know it but they aren’t gonna say either because they are in bed with 2k and take 2 or they just want to seem like “they aren’t complaining or, I’m not a bitch dawg it’s just a game.” Yes you are right it’s just a game but this just so happens to be the worst nba 2k game ever made twin😂😂you cannot play comp and win from skill in the threes or the 2s
