What to do with Mitch has to be the most difficult decision for Leon to decide. He brings all that we need... but what good is he if he suits up half a season every year. Mitch will come back, get hurt within 20 games and be out for the rest of the season. I think we need to focus more on developing Hukporti, he looks durable!!

Bro. It’s simple. Mitch at the 5. Kat at the 4. OG at the 3. Hart/Bridges at the 2. JB at the 1. We need Mitch’s defense. We can’t survive playing this type of basketball, where if we have any shooting woes whatsoever, we lose the game. Signing of Mikal and extending OG was supposed to make us a defensive nightmare on the perimeter, with Mitch holding down the paint.

The only reason to trade Mitch would be if his injury is worse than reported. If so, keep him out till one month before the playoffs begin. 16mil is not much for 30 games of elite rim protection/ offensive rebounding.

Kind of a tin foil hat idea but hear me out cause it could make sense, the name I’ve been thinking about is Myles Turner. Reason I bring him up is he’s a free agent at the end of the year, and how his contract is structured he’s not eligible for an extension. So not to say he wouldn’t sign back with Indy but if he wants to go elsewhere, that will be his decision. Also his agent is CAA, and we know how that connection works. If he pulls a Bridges move and tells them he’s gunna leave and he wants to come to NY, Indy wouldn’t have much of a choice unless losing him for nothing. Putting him next to Towns at the 5, he can protect the paint way better but also can stretch the floor on offense and keep the spacing we want to have. He makes $20 mil so a Mitch and Precious swap for him would work. Just my opinion but I think he would make a great fit with what we have, but who knows if it happens.
