At the end of the game MJ says he gives alot of credit to his teammates for hanging in despite him shooting so poorly. Jordan may have not been easy as a teammate but he always gave them credit in the battles they had during their championship years

MJ was 100% comfortable in his own skin, confident with his status as the goat, as well as gracious. All these traits allowed him to admit when he didn't play very well. He always gave his teammates credit when they picked up the pieces. Most importantly, not once did he call his teammates out, or blame them for any failures they endured as a team. Nor did he ever whine about needing more help. These are traits that only the true goat possesses. Self-proclaimed goats who aren't confident with their status blame teammates, coaches, whine about needing more help, give up on their teammates, and show up to the final press conference of the season with a pseudo-cast on their shooting hand after getting trounced in the Finals 😂

They smothered MJ on defense every chance they got. They knew they couldn't let him get going. Even on fast breaks they immediately fouled him

I think I am going crazy. I was 19 and I literally remember watching this game and the food my mom made us on that day. Beans with meat and rice plus some roasted chicken. Sometimes when I rewatch something I watched when I was young , I feel as if I am really still young and my late dad bless his soul is sleeping in the room

if you ask me the VERY best individual statistic in the 1980's and 1990's COMBINED was the scoring from a player who i CONSIDER a legend being kareem abdul-jabbar therefore if you ask me the 1980 1982 and 1987 finals mvp SHOULD'VE been kareem abdul-jabbar

Watching these highlights is so much better than 2024 highlights imo. Theres more creativity on offense, vs the Celtics, for example, jacking up 30 threes a game.
@R.POliver
@R.POliver 8 ай бұрын
Exactly. The lack of creativity and far less skilled players is because culturally we have just gotten lazier. This is why rules had to be changed because it was to accommodate softer players who weren’t willing anymore to be taught the fundamentals. It’s far easier to just then try to become the best shooter. Because that’s the easiest way to score is to just stand and shoot. So now games are decided on who can shoot threes better. There are other factors that make pro sports in general unwatchable, but that’s a separate issue.

wow they got it back, never would have thought. I guess that's why they let the NHL go. However, aside from roundball rock i doubt they bring anything else back. Costas is gone, Marv is retired, Guokas is retired, snapper jones and walton are both passed and dick enberg too.... maybe fratello comes back...but gumbel and hannah storm are on different stations... without the people there is only so much presentation can cover up for, especially if the floor product remains meh. But there is at least roundball rock....
